Here are the new crested geckos that I got this weekend. They are great!

And for those of you keeping track at home this now gives me 6 ;)

First one is just a baby, about 3 weeks old, then a nice looking red "fire", then a sweet red one..

Beautiful geckos. I really like the second one.

I've been thinking of getting into Rhacodactylus for the longest time now.

I know you don't know me, but do you think that a crested would be a good "first gecko" for me?

I tried a leopard gecko a while back and ended up giving it back to the breeder after a mere week because I couldn't stand dealing with the crickets and she wouldn't eat worms of any sort.

Do you think what with cresteds being able to live on baby food and "Crested Gecko Diet" that they would be a good choice?

Another thing that worries me is their jumping abliity. With leopards you don't need to worry about them jumping but apparently with cresteds you do. I have a "cat" and I would be worried that I would never be able to hold the gecko for fear of it jumping out of my hands and ending up in the "cats" mouth. Resonable fear? Or is their reputation for jumping overstated?

(Okay so the "cat" is actually a dog, but he acts like a cat stuck in a dog's body.)

those little critters always looks as if there smiling.
no wonder people get gas

(gecko aquisition syndrome)

Nice Ken....

"We think it would be the bomb if you could make the gecko do the robot." :dancer:

:)

so these are the little ones!!!

Man I can't wait to see them in person.
I'll most definately come down for a visit around the summer time to see how great looking they are.

Those little ones look so cute and tiny!!!

Great pics Ken!

AWWW...they are very cute! Just had to have some of your own, huh? Now you have 3 and Devin has 3!

Actually I would say these would be a great choice for a first gecko. They require no heat like a leo. They due quite well between 60-80 degrees. Now they do like to jump and climb. Just as long as you keep them in something with a lid, and out of the reach of "cat-dog" they'll be fine. I just recently picked up the crested gecko diet, so I am hoping they will switch over to that. BUt yes you can just feed them the "diet" and you'll not need to use crix. I feed both baby food and crix every other day. Trust me once you get one, you'll want more and more and more...

Oh and Terri, I call them all Devin's as I would hate to think that I was spending money on more animals for myself
