A Great Year - Part I

Lexcorn

Dreamcatcher
Yup,

Did not breed as many corn cultivars in this Breeding Season, however, we did have our unusual additions to the 'team' never-the-less.

Photo's suitably added in the Photo Gallery. A Great Year - Part IV

However, & to the point, here are our successes from several other species.

In order of laying.

The inscrutable Mandarina Rat Snake

What a species!

Congratulations! For some reason, the coloration of this species seems unnatural to me- like something a kid would draw- so beautiful!

Ya thanks Nanci,

You know the saying about Yellow & Black........versus Black & Yellow!

They are a spectacular species, but, not an easy character nor simple to breed.

So, all in all, we are pretty darn pleased with this acheivement.

Sure is a tiny head, but, the neonates are quite a good size when 'outta the egg' & very lively!

Awesome....really Awesome...
Wouldn't mind a pair in there future...

Well done again!!!

Thankya

They are spectacular indeed, but, one has to be content to admire & not, unduly, disturb this species.

By this I do not mean that one does not provide correct husbandy & cleanliness, however, these animals do not appreciate 'happy handling hour'. :dgrin:

I had a horrible year. It looks like you caught all my luck! Congrats, what an incredible species!
It's good to know my luck went to you to help create such beautiful animals :) I had wondered where it went!

Thank you for sending good luck my way, but, I would not have deprived you had I known :awcrap:

They are, indeed, such amazing creatures and although we were content with just having the parents in our Collection the reproduction of the next generation has been a wonderful experience. ;)

These guys look really amazing! Too bad they're not as "user-friendly". Still, they would make one GREAT display snake.

Thanks for sharing.

Ya,

The 'old world' ratsnakes are not all as simple as the corns.

But, hey, where's the challenge if all species were alike?
