After Much Loss & 3 years...

Congrats,...good to see you guys finally beat Ol' Murphy... I remember your heartbreaking losses...good for you guys for not giving up and packing it all in!! :)

A spontaneous re-occurence of the Tessera mutation???? I would have sworn it is a Tessera motley I remember from seeing on a photo. It looks amazing anyway!

I did not know that (don't know much about Keys corns). Do they generally have the masque type head as well?

Whups, missed this question. My pure keys (from WC parents) has a masque type head pattern as well as does some others I have seen. Perhaps not all keys have the masque type pattern but they can sure have it.
Mine also has the diffused looking sides and, of course, many others do too.

"BBPE" (what I am temporarily calling our first little preemie, Best Birthday Present Ever: BBPE) is 3/4th the way through his first shed! But no, no other pips yet. According to the "Time Scale" - there should be a pippen any time now... I'm betting on the 22nd - since it's a Friday~! nno reason... lol just always loved Fridays when I was young enough to still enjoy 'em! lol But I will keep ya all informed. We are watching the remailing eggs, and mold pile, very closely! LOL

Post 1st shed pic, Jul 20 (Check out his eyes, he squirms to much but HOLY CRAP they are like Steal Grey Blue - and hasn't eatin yet, will try again in a few days)

holy crap that is insane congrats, my birthday is july 12th too hes a cancer !:)

Yepperz Dzerp! Crrrrr AY-ZEE insane...LOL And you, my Hubby and "BB-B-E", (our Super Shocker Serp) All July 12 Cancers! ....sigh! 2 of my "past" slither'n loves, "D'Bandit" a neonate black albino male who escaped and was never seen again back in 2009 at 11 months old, and "Katchyanna",our GORGEOUS & loving Cert. Bloodred Striper Female who died from a mega bad prolapse, also in 2009 at 6 yrs old... were both Pisces like ME!
My #1 love of all..."WHYTSNAKE" (no idea of a birthdate) who ALSO passed away due to a prolapse, back in 2009 at the age of around 6 and1/2 yrs old, was a present to my Sean from his son before we met.
Yeah, 2009 was a REALLY bad year, we also wound up with a total of over 40 eggs - not one of which hatched - we found out WAY to late that our thermometer (newly bought from a pet store) was over 10* off.... we fried the little buggers without even knowing it. BAD BAD year!
So ya see, this little fellow "Cancer" to my hubby and you... ?
named, "B.B.-B.E" (for "Best Birthday Buddy Ever")

Has been A LONG TIME A'COMIN to us! lol And I firmly believe that he's our LUCKS A TURNING GOOD, charm too!

OH, and PS: Just after my Birthday in 2009, I also had to put down my nearly 15 yr old little four legged Daughter (Malt-a-Pom) after a sudden heart problem gripped her, 3 vet visits in 4 days, the last two (days) of which her pain was increasing beyond medication so fast, that I made the decision on that 4th, heart breaking day... Buried her in a meadow near South Lake Tahoe next to her Brother who had died 5 yrs earlier...
SERIOUSLY... 2009 REALLY sucked for us! (Felt bad not memorializing "Precious Princess Sis", as I just did with our non-legged, children...LOL so had to ad this) RIP - my Baby Girl!

......sigh and again... HOLY CRAP! Ya know what..? I'm just going to post this old pic I found of our now Passed on Cert Red Striper Female mating with our (still) Only Adult Male, OB, who sired this little Tessera. 1st of all, you can DEFFINETLY see his Motley in this one... but even more than that, when you say at least one parent has to be tessera, does one that the features only faintly and not running his full length count? If any of YOU see what Sean & I think we see on OB's Side.... O M G will I feel like an absolute idiot! LMAO! But hey, with the high doses of Pain Meds I take on a daily basis, and have since my first diagnosis over a decade ago.... IM OK WITH NOT being "all there" LOL ok.... so...? (PS: does "difused" mean "faded looking"?)

In our defense... OB was a shoebox male untill we got him at just over 5 years old - It took him SO long to calm down when we gave him his own Real Viv with bark and rocks and a tree thingy... HE WAS SHEER PANIC for over 2 or 3 months after breeding was over. He would SCRAPE so hard on the screen and bang his head on the glass that put him back in a "shoebox" sized plastic box and SLOWLY broke him into the 10 gallon, than the 35 where he finally found solice playing PYTHON in this fake tree's top! He is SO strong and wiggly, HATES being held, and we hate to freak him out... soooo, not a lot of up close interaction with this guy! !
POSITIVE part to OB's Story, last summer, he spent the whole summer, alone, outside in a 60 gallon tank! AND HE WAS HAPPY!!! You could tell! And this is his third year with us so he's about 9 yrs old now I guess...
