Amel tessera ph sk x Snow ph sk

Chromatic Corns

Just one more
They are finally starting their post sheds. There are no normal looking amels in the group like I had suspected there to be or even plain Amel sunkissed. We didn't expect motley to be at play but have these patterns. Several of the tesseras I checked this morning have no belly checkers but a few of the motley ones do. Trying to sort this group out. Here are 2 of them and I'll post more

In the group are only these amel motley looking babies and the amel tessera babies out of 16. There were 2 that were a little different, pinstripe looking but they didn't make it. I had expected normal amels, and amel tessera if the hets proved then amel sunkissed tesseras and amel sunkisseds also. I'm thinking the sunkissed is messing with the pattern and having tessera sibs? These may not be true motley?

The body patterns on those babies don't look particularly motley-ish to me. Baby 3 before the shed looked possibly motley, but with the pattern clearer it doesn't.

The saddles are really reaching for each other through the length of the body, not just in the neck which is where I am thinking motley. Also several of the group seem to have no belly checkers. I'm waiting for them to shed before I say for sure they don't have them but it's also possible that this is just the influence of having a tessera parent, throw sunkissed in and well... interesting anyways

OK, almost all have shed. I can confirm no motley as the only ones without belly checkers are actually the tesseras. The others, that have the unique but technically normal patterns, do have belly checkers on at least the first half of the bellies. Sunkissed appears to be up for debate still
