Not to start a religious debate... I'd really rather not.

However, I'd like to know if anyone watched the movie "Angels vs. Demons"? What was your take on it and did you like it? Did you like "The Da Vinci Code?

We don't need to get into the religio/political stuff... but I'd really like to know what those of you who watched it think.

I'm watching it now! LOL.

I don't really care for religious horror, if only because I wasn't raised with any sort of religion and so the references, fears they play on, and atmosphere are lost on me. The movie looked like a really neat alternate reality/zombie sort of flick in the trailer, though. Got a little hokey when it got to Abs the Wonder Angel though lol

I haven't had the chance to see either. My brother had seen "The Da Vinci code" on TV, and he enjoyed it. How is it?

I enjoyed both. I also read both books prior to seeing the movies. I think they did a pretty good job following the books, and I love the "fictional" religious/history type novels/movies. Good storyline, enough truth to keep me interested, fast paced. Dan Brown is one of my favorite authors (along with Steve Berry who writes similar type novels).

Thanks, Pepper, Michael and Katie!!!

Thus far... pretty good! Of course, part of the reason I like movies is because of the soundtrack (good soundtracks make GREAT movies)... so I'm kind "skewed" a little...

I loved the FIRST movie - quite a bit because of the soundtrack - and this one's soundtrack follows pretty well. They've got variations on "Chevaliers de Sangreal" one of really nice pieces from "The Da Vinci Code".

I loved the books, but the DaVinci Code movie was rather disappointing for me. I'm still looking forward to seeing Angels & Demons.

Can't vote, I only read the books. Didn't see the movie. I thought the plot was great but the characters were amazing 2D.

I'll have to look out for it; It sounds like a good one to watch. I rarely watch movies anymore, but I do love to watch a good one. The last movie I saw was "Seven Pounds", which was definitely a tear jerker, so maybe "Angels & Demons would be a nice change up!

Thanks Fred!

I haven't had a chance to see Angels and Demons, yet; but I read and watched The Da Vinci Code and enjoyed both. I'm more of a bookworm than a movie junkie - so naturally, the book was better for me than the movie; but I loved the character cast and the pacing. Now I'll have to put Angels and Demons on my Netflix! :)

Thanks, Robbie and Emily... I forgot to add the books to the poll... OOOPS.

Michael... Seven Pounds is a movie that I have to AVOID... I feel that it would be too "heavy" for me.

Katie (Maligator)... I'm not sure about "Angels and Demons" yet. STILL enjoying it, though!

I have only seen The Da Vinci Code...I enjoyed it very much. I have been wanting to rent A&D for a while now.

Seven Pounds is definitely a "heavy" movie. I still recommend it though, Fred!

I actually liked the books more than the movies, but they were still pretty good. The movies did a great job of following the action of the books, but it was hard getting over Tom Hanks playing Robert Langdon, as he didn't come close to the character pictured in my head...

I've only seen The Da Vinci Code. I liked it. I had actually planned on watching it tonight! :)

My dad read both books and really enjoyed them, but hasn't seen the movies...guess what he's getting for Christmas! :D

I knew where it was headed in the first 30 seconds, but how it got to the predictable ending was still pretty good.

Lol, yeah, I knew it was close to the beginning... I liked the jelly fish, what a great actor! I hope he does more in the future...

Oh, and "Seven Pounds" was predictable within the first half hour, so that kind of ruined it for me...
I don't think that it was predictable. Plus, it wasn't necessarily a plot movie. I thought that it was honestly one of the best movies I've ever seen, and I would recommend it to anyone. The acting was absolutely incredible. Will Smith is hands down the best actor of all time, in my opinion, and the supporting cast was just perfect. Sorry to take this conversation off course Fred, but you have to see it. It was such an emotional movie, and I loved it!

I'll think about it... I got "snippets" of the movie when my wife and the dorm girls watched it.... then I "closed myself" to it by watching "The Da Vinci Code" for the 4th time (that was about a month or so ago... LOL).

Fortunately, I found a "Book on CD" copy of "The Da Vinci Code". Listening to that slowly!

I think that would be a GREAT Christmas present!

I'm downloading the movie on my ps3 as I write:).. I'll get back on wether I like it or not tomorrow:)
I look forward to your assessment of the movie!

Fred, you'll have to let me know what you think!
I LOVED IT!!! I got completely sucked in... the pacing of these movies is AWESOME. No real "boring" areas... and the last 45 minutes???? WHOA!

and I'll SHUT-UP right here!! LOL. I was gonna give away something! :D

THANKS, everyone who has already voted! I look forward to hearing more!
