Another present...

It's Jager time!
I'm getting a bit sick of snakie presents.... NOT!

A friend dropped of this wee lassie today, her weirdo holdback tasmai from the September clutch last year. I already have 2 from the litter (Burton and Blythe) but this wee one is completely different. Shes far more yellow and tan. Which is just as lovely. I have named her Bree, since I just realised that all my boas have names beginning with B!

Huge thanks to Linda, for providing mad candoia enthusiasts like me with picture perfect CB specimens!

LOL I know she is tiny, but she pounds rat pups. It's amazing how huge a meal these guys can take. I'll be switching her to fuzzy mice, simply because I prefer feeding younger snakes less fatty foods.

She's crazy beautiful. I really like the shape of her head.

on a side note: how's your nose? =)

I love how they look like twigs with eyeballs. My nose is fine, I haven't tried to kiss Giraffe yet LOL. But this wee gal is bitey :)

She's gorgeous! I don't know how you could get sick of presents like those... You should get international shipping sorted out and send a few over to me. :D

HAHAHA I absolutly would if I could :p

Well... get on it!!! All of your wonderful pictures of these little guys have swayed me to want one. They are officially on my want list... See what you've done to me?

Fantastic news! EVERYONE needs at least one species of Candoia. They are the most amazing snake genus in the world to me :)

So what species would you recommend to someone as their first Candoia, Elle?

Probably Candoia Paulsoni - Solomon isle ground boas. They are much hardier than other candoia species, tend to be more common therefore it's easier to get healthy specimens in captivity. They are generally very docile, EXTREMELY easy to keep and take rodents well in captivity if WC. But theres people out there breeding paulsoni reguarly so it shouldn't be too hard to get a CB specimen.

I am sooo crazy jealous of you right now. Bree is absolutely lovely and a perfect addition to your beautiful collection!

Thanks Katie! I really didn't know I was getting this gal, so when Linda turned up with her I was like woaa fank oooooooooooo!

Wow, Elle. She is VERY gorgeous! I really like how they have that LARGE boa look all in a teeny-tiny package!

I think I might have told you, I was TEMPTED by some Candoia I saw on another website... but didn't go ahead with it because they were W/C and the seller never contacted me! LOL. I wonder what would have happened if the seller HAD contacted me. Would I have resisted? LOL.

Congrats, Elle! And I'll say from now on, "Yet another pretty snake for..."

;)

Awesome Elle!!
Snake presents are fabulous aren't they... I'll never tire of them.. LOL

Wow! Congrats, on another cool snake!:)

(BTW Will, also, be looking forward to seeing your new "red one" when you get it ;) ).
