Any musicians here?

Hey all,

Long time no speak for many of you! I trust you're all well.

I was just wondering whether there are any musicians here? Either amateur or pro'. I play piano, sing and play guitar (piano and singing are my favourites and take up the majority of my musical pursuits). Occasionally for pay/prestige, or both.

Piano - 16 years.
Vocal - 8 years
French Horn - 8 years
Flute - 6 years
Trumpet - 6 years
Saxophone - 4 years

Anything other than that that's a wind instrument, I can play it, I've just never studied it.

I've been playing clarinet for 12 years and I'm currently studying both clarinet performance and music composition for film.

"Goldtop" isn't just a clever name...

LOL... Leave it up to Brent...

I used to play Trumpet, Alto Horn (like a marching version of the French Horn), Baritone, and Euphonium (souped up Baritone). I did these things from JHS until I was about 28 years old. I could probably play A song or two... but after that, my lip would be shot.

I also used to sing, but have found that the loss of hearing in my right ear is REALLY affecting how I sound (I get real pitchy), so I don't do that anymore. :(

Emily1188 - I'd always DREAMED of doing what you're doing... but I really was never good enough. Congrats.

I sing choral music (mostly classical, with a preference for medieval).

I'm a bagpiper.

I play at the guitar - have an old Epiphone 12-string FT-165.

I have played the violin for 9 years and the piano for 7 years.

I learned to play the fiddle by ear, and was in various Scottish bands after a few years. This was when I lived in the Highlands and it was mostly folk and traditional music I played. I then decided to train classically and can do both. I enjoy the traditional side to the fiddle far more than classical, but I wanted to learn how to play as well as just being able to ;)

My lovely lassie (this shot is ancient, around 5 years ago)

I also have a custom refurbished 19th century french classical acoustic which I lent to my friend a few years ago as I just adore my electric. I should ask her for it back sometime lol...

I played trombone for 7 yrs, and was in the choir for several years. I do have a hard time reading music now though.

A good musical works to. Been doing theatre for over 20 yrs. Love, love, love to sing. Don't get much opportunity to though. Anymore it's usually kareoke, and few select songs.

I play the bass....

but not much anymore. Just for myself.

I used to have a serious rack system. Now just an old Crate practice amp. I kept the bass' though. A Yamaha BB1600 (removed to the Jap crap and put Seymor Duncans in) and a BB5000 both from 1984.
A G&L SB-1.
A G&L L-2000 with a guitar Shaler bridge. Sounds like a flippin piano.

I marched with the Indiana University Marching Hundred my entire undergraduate career. I played piccolo. I havent really played since though, I moved on to other hobbies.
