So am I reading this right? You don't want someone else to get your bloodline so you kill the strain? So this is what you're bringing to this discussion about snakes as well? Sorry, I haven't read the entire thread....but let me understand the scenario....You're working with a new gene morph, but during the breeding trials, you'll kill off all the snakes with this particular gene because you don't want anyone else to get their hands on this bloodline? So all the snakes that carry this (the term is "het", right?) gene get fed to your dragons rather than raised to their potential and possibly cross bred, which, by your own admission, is what will raise the market value of that morph because now others can see what you can make with it....but you would rather breed then kill so it doesn't hurt your "food on the table" business? I'm just trying to see if I understand you correctly?
