Are you happy with the way you look?

That idiot will end up with a free tummy tuck...I however would have to pay for one...

well it will be deemed necessary because she will be knocking her belly with her knees which will leave bruises which will cause her quality of life to diminish and as a result her State insurance will HAVE to cover it! geeze don't you know how the system works ....I have a plan!

:roflmao:

I am gonna have 8 babies and adopted them all out to people who can't have their own I will get a free tummy tuck ... two birds with one stone I tell ya. ;)

Yeah I'm half Sicilian, half Irish.. after kids something was bound to add to the curves lol Other then that I'm pretty happy and yes raven, they are our kitty stripes :)

Summer is coming. Sun bathing hides most of the funnies. going to tattoo something over the hip stretches. Thinking a permanent tribal belt "hehe"

I'm sicilian too- are you slightly crazy? I AM!!!:dgrin:

Robbie, just shave your shoulders and get over it:grin01:

Chris O

But... but... but... when I shave, it comes back darker!!! That's part of my problem. I was on the swim team in high school. Now I have a black shag carpet on my chest. :puke01:

So who wants to make a donation to the "Robbie Needs Laser Hair Removal Fund"? :D

Wax it off Robbie it stays gone for 6 weeks and only hurts the first few times. I have been waxing the legs now for 13 years and I think I'm numb to any pain associated with it- plus you'll be super sexy smooth!!

I've done it before, and I don't really mind the pain, I just want it gone for GOOD.
That, and I have no $$ to get waxed right now. LOL

You can buy enough wax for a year for like $40- i want lazer removal too but for both legs its still waaaaaaaaay outta my price range:(

Wrong questions Dave. The questions should be am I well-read? Am I evolving, psychologically and spiritually? Am I growing more beautiful, peaceful, and wise on the inside? Am I touching people's lives? Do I give more than I take?

Vanity is the root of all evil. It got Lucifer into BIG trouble.

How are they 'wrong questions'?

There's nothing wrong with taking pride in your appearance and making sure you're presentable, surely?

And surely you can do all of the things that you've listed, whilst ensuring that you're content with the way that you look?

And being happy with your appearance isn't necessarily vanity or narcissism.

hi Dave!
il give you an update on how i have been doing lately,

As you know i work out a lot in the gym and i got myself up to 17 stone. Over the last few months i have started to eat really well and i have been doing more cardio seshions as well as drilling the weight.
Im now down to 16-16.5 stone and looking a lot trimmer and more deffined instead of bulky. Im working on the 6 pack for my hollidays! lol  I think i may have lost a tiny bit of strength but i think its a fair trade to have a better build.

In my opinion if you work out a lot there HAS to be a certain amount of vanity in it, whether your overweight or whether your an absolute machine, everyone works out for the same reasons, to look better. So you just cannot say that you work out and then say that its not a vanity thing because even if its only to a really small extent, it is!

Am i happy with the way i look? Ye! And i have worked really hard for the last 2-3 years in the gym so i feel like i deserve to feel good about it! But mostly for me i just work out because it makes me feel good! The feeling of finishing a seshion when you know you have worked really hard is fantastic!
Its a great way to relieve stress and tenshion and i think that the feeling of working out greatly outways the feeling of going out getting wated (although that is good every now and then, you have to let your hair down sometimes!).

anyway, thats my view on the matter! :)

Who really likes the way they look? Its human nature to envy just about everything. I personally do not like the way I look at all. Its not functional for me. I'm pale and freckled and live in Az... I have yearly skin inspections just to make sure that I don't die of skin cancer by the time I'm 30. I have curly red hair. I work as a nurse which means that I am doomed to wear a ponytail forever, and I am absolutely intolerant of the time that goes into "primping." I'm overweight, my eyes are squinty, my feet are geisha-small, my boobs are too big (they get in my way in surgery)... oh I could go on and on.

I'm sure you guys have been able to pinpoint my self-consiousness, but at least I have a sparkling personality ;) I don't know a single person that loves themself completely. Mind you, I'm not self-loathing, just wish I could change a few things. But, I do the best with what I've got.

So, in summation:

You're a fair-skinned redhead with a rack. In my world, you wouldn't need your feet.

Good man, glad to hear that it's going well.

What about people who train as powerlifters (who are nearly always really fat and unattractive?) Or those who train for sprinting, other sports or a profession? Is it partly vanity in their cases? Or is it just something that comes with the territory (with regards to having a good physique)?

LOL Well, I am also a Overweight female, Wear glasses, Have Big Breast, I can't See my feet! And I am semi Short! :) I Don't like my weight, But other then that I am "OK" With how I look. I have found that having Big Breast isn't a HORRID thing.. LOL! woot! But, Yea.. Over all I am Alright.

then i would say that in those cases they train to get were they want to be and because its how they want to be, being fat or really bulky if your a power lifter comes with the territory which is standard. Powerlifters will be happy because they are really strong, it won't be about the physique for those guys.

I would say that sprinters get the best of both worlds. They get to train everyday and pressumably enjoy it, its there job, but they will autimatically have great bodys because of what they do!

i think you have to have the up-most respect for any proffessional athlete at any level, it takes a lot of dedication! I was a semi-pro footballer but i stopped playin all together a couple of seasons ago because it was just too time consuming while i was at uni as well.

yes and no.. I look better than I have in years... lost 40 lbs... but still have some issues...( hairy and never waxing )but my wife does not mind so that is a plus!!!

Brett, I didn't get to read all of your post earlier (shame on me). When I do get a chance to work out, its not so much for vanity (though I don't mind the physical outcome) but more for health. I have a very physical job, and I need to be up to par. Strength and endurance training to some degree is a must for me. Plus, my family has a history of heart disease. I'm trying to dodge that bullet, Finally, working out is a great outlet for me. Ever go toe to toe with a punching bag after a bad day? Its a wonderful outlet!

If you ask me, the concept of attractivness in this country is astonighing IMO. Rail thin men and women just look to frail, too androgenous. I prefer women with curves and men with some size. To be attractive to me, you have to either be able to accomodate a porche on those curves, or be able to throw me around. ;)

No matter what, I can always rely on you to make me feel better. However, feet are a little necessary in my world. How else would you rub them after 13 hours in the OR? :D
