Bacon, Classic, Outside!

I took new pics of all the snakes to work last night, and realized Bacon is sorely neglected in the photoshoot department! (Probably to his delight!) So I took him out for a few pics. Unfortunately, nothing was blooming, but he still got in a nice swim!

Although Bacon is "just" a normal, he's actually an important snake. He's hiding genes for opal stripe, and is destined to be the husband of Calli, lav stripe het amel, some day. I saw him at VMS, thanks to Kim and her Whiteout, I just had to go window shopping, and I thought he was a bargain- proven male, sweet genes, just needed a female to go with him! And lo and behold, I came across Calli. I hadn't planned on breeding corns at all, but the only normals and amels from this pairing would be het lav stripe, and the other offspring would be cooler, and I'd hopefully get some lav stripes and hopefully hopefully an opal stripe!!

Bakey Snake is a little skittish, but who can blame him- he's four years old and NOT a pet. Well, he's my pet, but before, he was just a stud...He even bit me once, the night of the Great Escape!! Bake got out of his feeding container using brute strength. I hunted him down, and he was not happy.

I was thinking about Bacon today. I'm so pleased to see pictures of him. LOVE the water garden shots as always :)

Bakey enjoyed his trip outside- he helped me water the strawberries and went for a nice long walk in the grass.

Thanks for looking!!

He was so calm and clingy outside! Hopefully, some day I'll get to breed him. Calli is still only 33 grams. I think she was brumated as a hatchling...Once I get her on fuzzies, she'll take off. Actually, she's had two small fuzzies, now.

He is always very nice to see, must be much warmer down there than up here in cold old colrado.

He's so pretty! And you got him from a great place. My charcoal corn and coral (hypo) snow came from Sean at VMS. He's a great guy to do business with. He never let a single one of my questions go unanswered, and always got back to me next day. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Rocky Mountain Reptile expo.

Sean is a great guy to do business with. He has something right now that I am trying to resist- female Pioneertowns!!

Noah's an anery Pioneertown, right? So I should try and find a female Pioneertown het anery for your birthday, right? LOL

That'd be nice! I think the only guy that has them is the guy I got Noah from, Mitch Allen. If I can't find one, I'll just have to make one! But SRSLY, what do you think the market for rosies is, especially after the Snausage's shenanigans...I think aneries will always be irresistable.

I'd get a Snausage from you, Nanci! :D Or just take all the leftover babies you don't want... lol.

snausage and bacon, makes me hungry! Nanci, want to take some pictures of my snakes? They never want to stay still!

You need to either build a water garden and put them in it, or put them in a tree! Those patio brick shots are really hard- the bricks are always really warm and the snakes don't want to stay. They like the water, though! And it makes them tongue flick.
