Berlingo and his dragon...

Tula_Montage

It's Jager time!
...tree that is (Madagascar Dragon Tree)... Candoia really do love to climb, and my wee Isabel Isle boy is no exception.

I was experimenting a bit with colour filters and stuff. I don't know if I like these shots or not yet...

He was in a sort of yucky brown phase tonight. I much prefer when he is cream and jet black.

Darn you, Elle... you better stop using that internet to influence my purchases!! ;) I have never seen a Candoia that made me go "wow, I'd like that," before this thread. Awesome snake!!!

Good luck with the gravid females. I love all your boas, but I was doing some contemplative research on candoia and they are fascinating little boas. I love their pig noses.

Fascinating isn't the word :p Getting my females to lay won't be the problem, it never usually is with candoia. It's keeping the babies alive! Paulsoni babies seem to do best in captivity but the likes of vipers and carinata can just drop like flies, even if they seem to be doing well and eating.

He is goregous! I also like him better in his black and cream coloration but he is pretty both ways.

I've been seeing some CB baby ones for sale lately for $30-60 and I'm considering getting one or 2 but wanted to wait till I go to an expo this weekend to see if I find any nicer ones. So hopefully I will be getting one soon and I can't wait they are so pretty.

If you see another one for $30, snatch it up and send it my way! LOL.

Elle, darling, it doesn't matter what phase he's in. He's absolutely gorgeous!

Nice shots!
I like those frontal views.

Me too, I just noticed his wee nose spots!

CB babies for $30-60? What on earth are you waiting for, BUY THEM!

He's so pretty! I bet the brown coloration means he's relaxed and happy.

I'm not sure why boas change colour, it's always so random!

Thanks dolliburd!

Which Candoia is he/she?

Breeding this year?

Like it says in the thread, he is an isabel isle ground boa (Candoia paulsoni)

Breeding this winter with Minerva hopefully if I can't get another Isabel to go with him. I doubt I will, I have only ever seen 2 for sale in the UK, I have one ;)

Although my carinata have already been breeding. So a long 7 months to wait...
