BHB Reptiles/Snakebytes.tv

ok cool. cuz i have been reading up on them and watching their instructional vids. I didnt want to be following someone who wasnt true. Thanks for the confirmation.

oh no problem. From what I have heard through the grapevine. this was an idea they wanted to present as a reality show for Cable.

I *think* that's still in the works if BHB keeps getting the hits they have been. I have some problems with the program, but they are minor compared to the average reptile coverage.

personally i absolutely LOVE the show but lately i have found it a bit frustrating! they dont seem to show the snakes off as much as they used to instead its mostly the crew just goofing around.
i still love it tho! lol

I love the snakes _and_ the crew goofing around. My favorite scene was when Chewy got bit on the nose by the Florida king.

That's kinda what makes me squirm. Not that a trivial harmless snake bite doesn't happen to all of us several times a year, it's showing that off that bothers me. I just worry about making those fearful of snakes have their ideas reinforced. But right now, the show seems aimed at keepers. If it's to be on network TV, though, there's a whole different set of eyeballs on it.

Yea i watch it on a regular basis.. i think sometimes they hav a hard ime tryna balance playing around and actually showing of the snakes. But its understandable considering youtube only allows 10 minutes per video. it would be great to hav a tv show strictily focused on the snake lover community

Yea. I cant wait for a full featured 30 minute episode so they can get into depth with there teachings. It would be well worth it. I would even purchase the episodes if need be

watch it weekly myself. Met them at some shows. They have amazing animals. I liked when they through the bucket of water on the one guy in the freezing cold. *snort* I am tired of feeding shots and bite "testing".

it was pretty funny when chewy got bit on the nose! lol how could you do that to yourself every week!?!?!?!?!? lol

I have to admit that I (guiltily) also enjoy the cheap thrill of watching Chewy get bit every week. They don't have neough time to cover more of the animals and I also would like to see less of the goofing, more snakes etc.........

LOL- That was the first episode I watched of theirs!! I was also telling my guy that it would be a really cool idea for a reality show... That's exciting that it may happen!!

I also liked their "women in snakekeeping" show!

(and I agree about the feeding shots, they get old after awhile)

It's the heavy metal music and slick MTV style editing of feeding strikes that add to the negative stigma in my mind. But that's exactly why some people want snakes, I suppose.

I watch every week and look forward to the new episodes. Agreed the feeding shots get a little old, but for the most part it's a good show and I have learned a few things watching it and seen some really cool snakes..
