Blizzard..or Avalanche?

this is a 2011 hatchling i recently purchased. the breeder advertised him as a blizzard, but also told me that he MIGHT be an avalanche, since he has SOME pattern, but you can only see it with certain lighting. his siblings were blood reds, and he's het for charcoal. he has no belly pattern at all, completely white.
any ideas which one he is?

I would say Avalanche. If he is only het charcoal then he can't be a blizzard. Did he say what the genetic of the parents were.

Huh and obviously both were het amel. Any chance you can get a belly shot? If the parents weren't het anery then it wouldn't be an avalanche.

One thing for sure it is going to be a pretty snake.

It can't be an avalanche if no anery is involved. That would make it definitely a blizzard. Not being able to see belly checks could be because it's a whiteout, but it could also be because it's a blizzard. I had a blizzard poss. whiteout once... Anyway, breeding trials will tell you for sure.

This is a very young avalanche, after his second shed. He may be homo hypo- can't tell. A few months older he still has a very definite pattern. (This is White Mamba- I've posted recent pics of him).

Why wouldn't yours be a whiteout- how does anery even get involved?

My little ones pattern is VERY faint. And his belly is completely clear. The other white ones in his clutch were all whiteouts, no avalanches.. But the breeder was unsure because he's the only one with a faint pattern

Yeah he can't be an avalanche because of the no anery in him. So he is either a blizzard or whiteout. I am thinking whiteout.

I agree. He looks like a blizzard or a whiteout. At first glance he looked like an avalanche, but if Anery A because that isn't involved, it is most likely a whiteout.

Hey Jessica, I'm sorry for the confusion, may have been my fault if I said Avalanche, what I meant was whiteout...Here are the parents and possible comobos ( no Anery A, just B[charcoal]).

If he's still not showing much pattern then I'd call him a Whiteout!

He's looking good, best of luck, Kyle

she's shed for me, the blizzard(whiteout?) hasn't. he's a litttttle guy. both have amazing appetites and i dont have to tease the male anymore, he just snatches it up. i'm excited for them to grow up, cus i'd like to pair them. :)
