I only have two fish in my 30 gallon who will live just fine in a ten gallon tank. OK so here it it goes. My corn snake i already own is in a 20 long that is divided so he doesn't get stressed. My new snake which will be female will be in a 30 gallon tank which also will be divided. NO animals will live together at all. When I am ready to mate which will be in 3 years then if my snakes take to each other then that is what ill do. Until then they will live in their own space. OK done deal. Thanks everyone else for you guys input. I was just simply asking a question b.c i see in pet stores and in reptile stores where i live multiple snakes living together. I took not of the link that Nanci and Chip posted and have read it. Im not a bad snake owner i was just asking a simple question. Enough said.
Well let me clarify. I was thinking you were going to split your 30g fishtank in two, so that you could house your snakes. Many people divide larger tanks into compartments. Even doing that snakes can still find a way into the other side.
I also always thinking for the sake of your fish and causing them less stress. You could simple use a 10g for the new snake you want to get instead of crowding them into a 10g.
So I hope everything is clarified now. We are all just in it for what is best for the animals no matter if they have fur, feathers, scales or fins.
