Can't Log On to my Iherp? Anyone else?

Toddsnake

Serious Corn Addiction!
Yesterday when I went to my Iherp account I was logged-off for some reason. I never log off..... so I don't understand why that happened. Went to log on and kept getting a message saying "password not correct". Because it had been so long ago that I set-up my account I was unsure what password I used...so I tried a few of the passwords I normaly use and none of them worked on my Iherp account. I then had to use the "lost my password" option and Iherp sent me an e-mail for me to reset my password with. I did that..then logged on with my new password and things seemed fine. I can see my avatar in the lower area of the homepage showing I am currently online. HERE IS MY PROBLEM.... When I click on "dashboard" or "Manage My Animals" I get a message telling me I am not logged on!!!! It puts a log in window up on the screen so I log in again and still can't get anywhere!!!!:shrugs:
Anyone else having trouble like this?:awcrap:
Any suggestions?

Todd

I was unable to log in either with what my computer had saved as my log in information. It had my e-mail address as the user. I couldn't exactly remember exactly what my actual user name was so looked under all the corn snake photos for one of mine. Yup, my user name is NOT my e-mail address and when I put the true user in and tried to log on...I'm in! Not sure why something changed, but it may help you with your problem.

So what am I not getting? How does e-mail address cause this? I know my Username....I give it my e-mail address to send my "Password Change Request" to.....receive the e-mail....type in new password...log on with new password and see my Avatar on the Iherp main page...click on my Avatar and see my User Page.....but try to enter "Manage My Animals" and get a screen telling me I am not logged in!!! Tried to send a "Support Ticket" but guess what....."Not Logged On" message again!!:headbang:
Got feeding, breeding, and shedding info I need to enter!!!!

Does it say "Welcome (insert your User name here) in the upper right hand corner? If not, you are not logged in.

When I first tried to help you, I could not log on to iHerp either. The information my computer had saved was different than what iHerp now wanted so I had to change it. The last time I logged on to iHerp, it wanted my e-mail address and password to log in. Now, it wants my User name and password to log in. That is where "e-mail address" came into it.

I am currently logged out, but can still see my avatar on the bottom, can view my page, etc , just like you can. I am asking you to make sure you are using your User Name and NOT your e-mail address in the spot required on the right hand side under "Member Login" to log in with as that was the problem I had.

If you still have a problem and since you can't use the Support Ticket, use the General Contact Form (linked) they give as an option.

This morning nothing has changed. My username is Toddsnake...just like it is here. That is what I am entering as my username. When you do a lost password request the first thing it asks is your e-mail address. Then it sent me an e-mail that tells me my username is Toddsnake and has two fields you have to enter your new password into. After I do that it tells me my password has been reset and to log-in now using the new password. When I do this it does refresh the screen like it is logging me in...but in fact, does not. I get no error messages that my Username or Password are incorrect.

Susan, I sent 2 e-mails yesterday to the same link you posted but got no response yet...maybe they are closed for the Easter Holiday Weekend.

Todd,

I can log into iherp on my computer but my husband is having the same problem you are having on his computer. We share the account. Not sure what is going on.

o_O I haven't had any problems with logging in to iherp at all this week. I'm sorry you're having such difficulties. That sucks. :/

I know he did an update the other day. We logged back in with no isssues. Jate to hear your having trouble with it.

If you can't log in, and there is no way to complain to Aaron, then forward your complaints to me, here on CS via my inbox and I will pass along any and all complaints to the dude behind the monitor.

Still no change...it's been 3 days...still no response from the e-mails I have sent to Iherp.

Problem Solved!!

Got an e-mail tonight from Iherp. The FIX was to go delete cookies and then go log-in. I went and searched thru my cookies and found the Iherp cookies and deleted them only. Went back to Iherp and logged in with my newest password and "BAM"...I was in!!:dancer:

Now I got some entries to make!

Todd
