Colonel Slithers Jun '08 Abbott's Okeetee - Progression Thread!

So, it's about time I made a true progression thread for my little guy! I don't have a scale yet, but for the time being I can give a few stats:

Name: Colonel Slithers (I've just been calling him Colonel)
Born: Jun '08
Length: ~22 inches March '09
Mom & Dad: F-1 & N (www.leesokeetees.com/genetics)

Got a scale today...he weighs in at 52 g!

I took him out since it has been 48 hrs since I fed him. Haven't seen him since Tues, he's been under the aspen. It looks like he's got skin bits on his head...or something...stuck to his head. He's having a little hissy bitey fit when I try to touch his head so I can't tell what it is. I never saw him go blue so I'm a bit confused as to what this is... Regardless I'm raising the humidity in the tank just in case.

My nephew calls him Gary Nake (scary snake) but today he saw & touched him & doesn't think he's so "gary". He's nice snake now.

I like showing him to non-snake people to try to change their views. He is being very nice when I hold him now, no more bitey face.

Now that I've said that, I'll probably get bitten tonight

Why won't he eat? Bah! I wasted a mouse. I suppose it has only been 7 days, and it could be for a plethora of reasons. Still I'm annoyed that I wasted a mouse. How long do you suppose I should wait to try again...this weekend or sometime next week?

Try feeding again in a couple days. What size are you feeding now? Live, pre-killed, or frozen/thawed?

I'm feeding him large fuzzies or hoppers, f/t. I see he's going blue now though, so that could be it! I honestly didn't notice til I looked at his belly, and the black checks are blue.

He's being all mopey and twisty. I'm glad I'm going to the expo tomorrow, I'm sure I can get some good stuffs. I've got my home made humidifier too in the mean time.

The Colonel is super duper blue today, eyes all blue...I had to take some pics!


He's not grumpy per se, but he is reclusive. Hasn't tried to bite me or anything. He is just moping around like an emo snake.
