Isn't a Coral Ghost the same as a Strawberry Anery? Per ian's vivarium....
I guess it all depends on who you are asking. As far as my understanding, the Coral Snows are more selective bred for the pinks using Hypo A.
I know the Salmons I have were produced using the Strawberry trait and considering I produced Ghost corns that were grandfathered by a Coral Snow, I'd say the Coral was homo Hypo A due to the subtle coloration.
Seeing there are so many trade names for Snows that display pink coloration such as Neon, Bubblegum, Champagne, Coral, Salmon.........etc. It's really still up in the air if they are all related by the same traits, which is very possible. There are breeding trails being done by some (myself in due time) to see if some of these are the same traits but are just being called different names.
Thinking about it more and more, even breeding trails may not tell us for sure. For instance, breeding a Coral (subtle pinks) X Neon (more saturated pinks) produced some amazing looking pink Snows ( even more so than both lines alone ), but it is still not know what trait has caused the intensification of the pinks. Is it just the combination of the two or was it a certain trait???
It will take quite a few years to determine which trait is causing the extreme pink saturation for sure, especially when some breeders are already selective breeding for even more saturation and not knowing for sure what traits they are dealing with. It's possible alot of people could have been breeding Strawberry Hypos which were aquired as Hypo A way before the Strawberry trait was really known. Some Hypo A and Strawberry corns can't be told apart by the naked eye and need to be identifed by microscope. ( I'm not going to go into that now, but there is alot of info on it in the 2011 Cornsnake Morph Guide by Chuck Pritzel )
It will be a long drawn out process in my opinion.
