"Quality Before Quantity"
Hi Everyone,
As some of you know today was the 8th Annual Portland Reptile Expo and if you didn't, guess what? Today was the Portland Reptile Expo! This is our local expo here in Maine and I was very happy to see a few members of CS.com there. We figured if some of you have your group picture taken at Daytona we should do the same here. New to the expo this year was Mary (Piper) and it was very nice to finally meet her . (She makes some great looking Corns). Also there were Joanna (Jodu) and Turner (tbtusk). As usual, it was great to see them. What really stinks about this show in Maine is the fact we have some very strong laws as to what you can and cannot have and Joanna was not able to bring here stunning Garters. The Portland show tends to be a pretty small venue with not too many vendors and traffic wasn't the greatest. Being it was a holiday weekend probably contributed to this. Nonetheless it was a great day overall, at least I had fun. I thought I would post a group picture of some of us CS.com members from up here in New England. It would have been real cool if Dean and Joe were to have made it. So here is the group picture of us. Who needs Daytona anyway? :p ;)
Jay

P.S. Thanks for putting up with me today guys. It was really great to see you all there.

Left to Right:
Myself (PJCReptiles), Joanna (Jodu), PJ (PJ@PJCReptiles), Mary (Piper) & Turner (tbtusk)

I was there, it was a really nice show. I drove up from the Boston area with a couple friends. I introduced myself to Turner, and I talked to Joanna briefly (I know her due to the beatiful little rascal of a hypo snow I picked up from her earlier this month).

There were a lot of really nice snakes there, I was really tempted by a thayeri I saw (I am not kicking myself yet though - I am out of quarantine rooms ).

I am glad I went, and my friends enjoyed it too even though they came more to hang out in Portland (which was good of them, I dunno if I would have done the 2 hr drive solo considering I was going to browse).

Glad you posted this. It is nice to see other groups of members getting together at shows and such. One of these days I want to try to make it up there to meet ya'll.
And out to NARBC in Anaheim, and Tinley Park in Chicago...etc... I want to meet everyone! LOL!

Hey look there i am! It was a ton of fun. Nice to see everyone again, and meet you, Mary and nate.

Thanks for posting the photo Jay. It was a fun time even if it was a little slow! It was nice to see you guys, Turner, Nate (Coty) and meet Mary, her husband and her beautiful corns.

I have to say I got a kick out of people coming over to tell me that had bought from me the year before and that the snakes were doing well!

I had a fun time & it was nice meeting everyone :) I'll HAVE to get to Daytona sometime.

And hey!! That's my table we're standing next to, with all the clear deli cups & nice looking business cards :D Jay & PJ got to drool over my adult female GhostBloodred (She wasn't for sale - just there to show) and her 3 Pastel GBR offspring from last year.

Anytime Katie. It would be very nice to get the chance to meet you. We could be accomodating in showing you around and seeing the the sites here in the beautiful state of Maine. You would always be welcomed.

Yes there you are Turner. Overall it was a very nice day. Maybe we didn't get traffic we would have hoped for but we ended up entertaining ourselves.

Drooling? Was it that noticeable? Next time I come to your table I will remember to bring napkins.....lol. That female Ghost Bloodred you have is a perfect specimen. I might be getting hold of you soon to get one of those Coral Ghost Bloodreds boys of hers pretty soon. Holy Pink! Overall the day was very nice, plus I had the chance to hang out and get my picture taken with you guys. ;)

Sounds like my dream come true! Too bad I live on the very opposite side of the Northern part of this Country. I would like to visit Maine some day though. I'm a big Stephen King reader, and his work has implanted that place within my soul.

Did anyone take pictures of the animals at the show? :D
