Does The "Remember Me" Button Work?

Bartholomew

Since I've registered to this website, I've always put in my username and password the 'manual' way. And once clicked the "remeber me" button and noticed that it didnt work, but I didnt pay much attention to it.
Now I'm kind of getting tired of putting my whole username and my password. So I tried the "remember me" option again and it still doesnt work.
So I was wondering if it actually works.
Or am I doing something wrong?
or is it just in my computer?
Is there something I have to do to make it actually work?
Does the button work for you?
Do my questions make sense?

No idea about the button working but i use firefox and that remembers it for all the sites if i want to, never had to log in since i registered here.

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, I dont have firefox. And I'm still pretty curious about whats going on. But thanks for the input :)

I think it depends on the browser, the OS, and the site. On my apples, on Safari, it remembers me for every site that I can think of...except this one.
Similar for Google Chrome, Firefox, and Opera on my windows computers.

But, sometimes I can walk away and seem to remain logged on forever, even after a computer restart. But if logged out, I have to enter username and password to get on to CS.com

It remembers all of my passwords too. For example on facebook, and youtube but not for CS.com.
I guess it is the website then.
At least I know I'm not the only one.
Thanks! :)

Do you have your browser privacy settings such that it wipes all names, passwords, cookies, sites visited, each time you shut it down? That will cause it to forget your passwords whether remember me is checked or not. I'd look at that, first.

that might very well be the problem with most people where the sites don't remember them.

No I'm sure thats not it. It remembers my password for facebook and other websites. If that was the case, wouldent it wipe out the passwords for other websites?
