Final Headcount for Tampa....

No family this time...wife has to work and the baby's a little too much for 1 person to deal with at an event like this. I'll prob do blue spikey hair, but no promises ;)

What a great day! We had a pretty large cs.com turnout. Mike B. and lovely daughter Jessie, Craig, Lisa and cutie pie Kenzie, Mike's friend Dan, Craig's friend that I can't think of the name of from up north, Chris who we never get to see ever! and I had to drag along my ex because he "didn't have anything to do."

My highlights of the day were getting to meet the legendary Dan, getting to see Kenzie for the first time!, getting to wrangle a couple lively ornate uromastyxes to keep them out of a Bill Love photoshoot (I'm getting one some day...) having a chat with Kathy Love, holding (but not buying!!) a really cool western hoggy, talking to Gino's wife about mex black mixes (solid black snakes hatching out of Mexican Black Milk eggs- oops!!) and meeting some really cool alligators and learning the story of the white alligators. And meeting Gino's big striped bubblegum rat. Pretty!

Then we all retired across the street to Wing House, where Mike tortured us with, I mean treated us to Fried Pickles. The first bite almost killed me, but then I got to like them.

Chris bought a couple pretty Florida Kings, an axanthic male and a lav albino (or I think probably lav hypo...) female (when did the prices drop so far??) and Craig bought a Creamsicle Okeetee and a Reverse Okeetee, both females, and was given some sort of albino tri-color king. Nelsons? I can't remember- no- shoot- I can't think of it- ruthveni! I bought 500 superworms. Lisa bought a rabbit that looks like a fluffy guinea pig with short rabbit ears. Some fancy thing.

Can't wait till the next time!

Sounds like you all had a great time. Sorry I missed out.

Craig, love the bunny. Is that a lionhead??

My Swedish Vallhund, Scout, and I had a great time at the agility show. I hadn't been to a show since New Year's weekend. The weather was great (glad I wasn't there on Sat) and got to see all my crazy dog friends.

I got some African soft furred rats at the show! They are supposed to have huge litters, be irresistible to ball pythons, and one corn breeder said his baby corns seemed to grow unusually well on ASF rat pups. I just got 2 trios to give them a try.

Just figures that the show that occurs when we are out of town has such a great CS turnout! Totally bummed that I missed it.
Will definately have to organize another Serpentarium GTG in the near future.

We will be back on Weds. Not much luck herping out west - found a lot of western fence lizards, some side blotched lizards, one collared lizard (got some great shots of Stephanie catching it and it latching onto her finger) and I did find a sonoran whipsnake today.
Tomorrow is our last big outing - heading out to the Apache Trail again. Weather should be beautiful so keep your fingers crossed that we finally find a rattlesnake!!
