Can't Keep A Secret
At least, MY first pippy. :p

These eggs are out of a breeding loan from Carol at Low Belly Reptiles. The parents are Amel het Cinder/Hypo/Lavender x same.

Only one pink pippy peeking out right now, but looking forward to more more more! (There are 16 eggs in the clutch.) I just wish I'd had the camera handy when I first found it earlier today... It's whole head/neck was out of the egg before!

Needless to say... between the new human baby and now baby snakes... it's exciting around here! :D

Congrats on yr baby! And the little snakies! How long did yrs incubate for before pipping? Mine is on day 56 now, and Friday Rose laid 10 more eggs/double clutched mostly slugs but maybe 4 of them are looking like they might be fertile. Can't wait to see more pics!
 
Thanks everbody! :) We are definitely going to be on our toes for a while around here! :laugh:

wildlifephotographer, this clutch was laid 4/19. They were incubated for about 3-4 weeks before my incubater crapped out, so they've been on indirect rack heat/room temp since then. I think yesterday was 87 days? Something like that...
 
More little noses!

Took another peek this morning to see if Pippy #1 was out and ready to move to its deli cup.

It wasn't ready, but now it has friends!

Pippy in the middle is still #1.

Here are some more pics from this morning! I was actually able to move two of the babies into their own digs. Woot!


This is what I was greeted by when I first unbuttoned the egg bin...

Woohoo! Yesterday's three noses are (almost) all out! And there are THREE more noses poking through!

The baby that is completely out of the egg (at the bottom) is Baby#1, and was relocated to his own deli cup. Baby#2 is the one at the very top of the photo... it was kind enough to completely exit it's egg while I was putting Baby#1 away.

As I was taking care of these little guys, I got that abrupt feeling of, "Waitaminute, I don't have a CLUE what I'm doing!" LOL! I'm sure I'll get over that quick, though... I mean, I have already survived 10 days with a human baby, afterall. :p
