Food and Bath...

August was in blue when I fed her on Sunday night, which I'm thinking was kind of a "mistake". Due to the very dry air around this time, I've been soaking my snakes once they enter their clear stage. August is in clear right now, but I was wondering if it would be OKAY if I gave her a VERY gentle 5 minute bath to help her when it comes time for her to shed???

I agree she just ate and light mistings twice a day are probably even more effective anyway because it keeps the living environment humid. A bath is hydrating but only for a short time so I would just mist for now.

Thanks guys, I decided to give the tank a good misting and a spritzed a bit on her and I covered the screen lid with a damp towel. Hope this helps her!

I'm sure that will be more than enough. Remember the 'clear' phase can last a number of days, even a week, so don't be surprised if it takes a few more days for August to shed. Check the tail tip and eye caps have all come off when she does :)

I definitely wouldn't mess with a snake on the second day of digestion, at least not until it was past the 48 hour mark. I don't touch babies at all until after three days. You can always fix a bad shed, but you can never undo a regurge.

I agree also, a moist hide within the enclosure under/near your heat source will keep the humidity nice and high for a good shed. I have dry air problems in my apartment too, the hide helps a lot IMO
