Getting tired of it...

Oh, and, FWIW...Vodka happens to be my first choice of drink. Belvedere or Grey Goose, with Kettle One or Finlandia taking a distant third and fourth.

Hmm...I guess I like "girly drinks". I like my "bourbon liqueur", and I like my vodka...But don;t let that fool you...

Hee hee. Well I DO like girly drinks, but I wouldn't call myself girly either. Oh, if I were a good thread searcher I would insert a very amusing and long thread about how I am not a guy but everyone thought I was for a long time . . .

What would you like to wager?

I'm putting my money on a black rat snake. They get big and black in upstate SC and the mountains of NC. And they are not that aggressive when handled gently. Now racers....the only one I've found that wouldn't bite was a dead one. Plus...don't see many of them up this way either.

It would be also my guess :) I remember a couple of years ago, my gelding found a yearling or perhaps two year old in the indoor area. The snake would lay still until Ah Men would blow on it and snort softly. It would then slither ten or twenty feet and stop. Ah Men would follow it, blow & snort and the thing would slither 10 feet and stop. They kept this up for ten or twenty minutes. The snake never once offered to bite my horse and Ah Men was really gentle with the snake. I finally distracted the horse and the snake was able to leave the arena quickly once our backs were turned. :)

LOL I definitely do not drink a girly drinks :) My preference is Jose.... keeping company with Gold Schlauger. Half and half please :D With a water chaser. When I would go out on Ladies Nights, the bartenders would insist that I drank it at the bar until they believed it was for me and not for some guy who was using me to get the discount. :)

And I knew you meant liquor.

I knew you would

[I'm channeling gwb]..and wait a minute, I've got a drawer full of equipment. What's the best type of "equipment." My grage is full of equipment, too, put that equipment is for team sports. No, not the other team sports, but softball and such. There's golf stuff in there, too. Which kinds of clubs do you prefer? What's the best kind of shaft? Speaking of the shaft, I really got the shaft today when not a single one of my lesson plans worked out for the day. I hate computers sometimes. WHich operating system do you like best?

*You know, it's actually draining to type every which way your brain goes. My hat's off to you, gwb!

That is a vile thing to do to either of those. It makes me queasy just thinking about it! I like them both, but not together! Ugh!

The best type of equipment depends on the situation. You know, you always have to have the right tool (or none) for the job at hand . . .

By the way, you can invite me over anytime if you're serving Grey Goose. On my graduate student "salary," I almost never get it. When I first heard about Grey Goose I was bartending at an upscale French restaurant on Capitol Hill and I thought, "Pwah! What do the FRENCH know about vodka!" Turns out, the French do vodka once and do it right.

But have you had Hangar One? It's from our own San Fran. And if you like flavored vodkas, they have some of the most refreshing, clean flavors. For me, Hangar One rivals Grey Goose. Try it if you haven't. You can google their website and look up retailers.

I don't normally like flavored vodkas, but since you seem to be a bit of a connoisuer, I might have to check it out. I normally make a drink with a "splash" of tonic...

Any particular flavor you would recommend above the others?

I like the Kaffir Lime and the Mandarin Blossom. The Kaffir Lime is a much stronger flavor than the Mandarin Blossom, though, so maybe go with the Mandarin Blossom. They also have a non-flavored one. I understand not liking the flavored ones. I do, as I'm not really picky about vodka. I can recognize good vodka, but I can drink bad vodka no problem! LOL! A splash of soda would be perfect with the Mandarin. I think tonic would overwhelm it. A splash of tonic would likely be quite tasty with the Kaffir Lime, but I haven't had it that way. I admit, I suck my Hangar One down pretty fast when it's on the rocks and don't wish for anything in it. I have to be a little careful . . . :)

LOL That's what most bartenders say... but I like them. The Gold Schlaugher really gives the Jose an extra kick. Jose by itself I can down about 8 or 9 shots before my spins (dancing) start becoming a wee wobbly. With this mix, the spins start wobbling after about five :)

........why must you? equipment huh, allright, let's roll.

softball: up until 5-6 years ago when i got tired of playing, i continued to use my Rawlings RBG 56 glove that i carried with me through high school and into my college playing days. the contents of my bag also included some well used balls (worth-blue dot) and my bat (easton) which had seen plenty of action over the years.

golf: my current package of gems include a full set of Callaway Big Bertha Gold irons(only made in '96), the big sticks are Callaway Steelheads in a driver, strong 4+ and 7 wood. a Ping Anser 5 is the putter choice used in the more gentler of strokes. and "my balls are always bouncing to the left and to the right" as i don't get to play with them as much as i would like to. i try to keep those in the Maxfli variety but have been known to dabble in the huge selection field for them.

man-tools: now this is a separate selection of it's own........you have to be careful with some of these contraptions. working in the "hands-on" field, i have numerous tools, devices and apparatus's that can do almost anything. but my main requirement is to make sure things fit and are as tight as possible...........obviously, in my line of work tight-fitting results are the main goal.

if you really want a smooth bourbon drink, try a canadian mist with 7up and twist of lime..............ouch. i know it is sold as a cheaper whiskey but if you partake in a few (4 or 5) glasses of those mixed 1/2 and 1/2 it will surely relax your mind and taste good doing it. you can sometimes get quality "stuff" cheap, no matter what you are doing.

mud is really starting to piss me off.........i like rain but not the end results of it when you have to drive into construction sites. i have a fetish for pens.......i think i have close to 50 in my truck right now. it's always nice to "pick one up" (steal) when you are at a store, doctors office, etc. as you can't beat a well writing pen. if bill cowher comes out of retirement and goes on to coach the cowboys, you will see somebody do something that has never been done in the history of the world.......just not sure what it is yet. flour tortillas go good with everything.........my family gets upset at me as i will bring them to our thanksgiving dinners to "munch on" instead of rolls. pet stores ought to have their owners hung, shot and punched. i went into one yesterday and came out with a stomach that was in knots........bad mutliple snake situation. i think chocolate could be poured on a pinky and i would eat it......love some chocolate. oh yeah, ice cream too. my resolution is still intact.......no beers this year after 15+, averaging 6-7 days a week. i wish my laptop had a numeric keypad on the right hand side like my one at home......i hate having to "go up top" for numbers. vince neil should have kicked axl rose's ass back when he was talking his smack..........i HATE guns 'n roses.

o.k...........have to go earn my paycheck.

I was always partial to Screaming Orgasms, but usually embarrassed to ask for one. :grin01:

Two shots vodka
One shot Bailey's
One shot Kahlua
One shot amaretto

Mmmm!

But now I've moved on to the wonderful world of wine- there can be no going back.

Just 2 shots of vodka? - Lightweight ;)

Id stick with wine forever if it didnt give me such terrible hangovers - ESPECIALLY when I cant drink the same thing all night. I NEED to mix!
