I just got pooped on by Lorenzo.
uke02: I was surprised, to say the least. I had just fed him on Monday and thought he would be ok to handle today (Thursday). I handled him yesterday with no problems. I noticed that his eyes are cloudy and his scales are dimming, so I guess he's going to shed soon! That's probably why he got freaked out and pooped. But, he didn't have a food lump, I thought it would be there until he pooped.
So do snakes go more than once after feeding? I'm confused and a little grossed out.
What can I do to prevent this from happening again? I think I'm going to leave him alone until he sheds, not hold him or feed him. :/ Is that a good idea?
And another thing, as a side not so I don't have to make a separate thread; there is a bump on his back in the middle of his body that feels like bone, like there's an extra vertebrae or something.
Should I be worried? Is there anything a vet could do or is it probably just a birth/genetic defect? It doesn't seem to hurt him when I touch it.
Thanks for your time and answers.
