At least do us the favor of understanding your snake does not live where you have the thermometer so the heat it is getting may be totally different and please tell us where you got the hide that reflects and absorbs we are all ears.

Your set-up is fine if it works for you, I as stated would like to no where you got the hide and that just possibly the way you are measring temp isn't accurate. Your validity would go much farther if you would be less defensive, and punctuate and speak as if you have a clue of what you speak.

my mom got it god knows where and i have $0.00 so im broke and mad because my mom took away my allowence so im angry and kinda stubborn and that also explains WHY I HAVE NO MONEY

My first snake didn't have his heat regulated for the first several years. That's before I knew I needed a thermostat. He was "fine" in my sense of the word. But what I was doing was not fine for him, nor right.
Eventually, when he was about 2 years old, his scales started to flake off and crack. This was because his heat source was un regulated.

I just got a snake off CL a month or so ago, and she was kept with a heat lamp that was not regulated and she is "fine". Other than her scales cracking and peeling off. Now that she is in a proper set up, she is truly fine.

Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

I would like to know where you got the hide too. As I have never heard of a hide reflecting heat and absorbing it while radiating it.

I will just throw this out there but if my 12 yr old was a rude and ugly has you have been acting I would take away not only her allowance but her snake, computer and tv along with being grounded to her room.
 
@OP If you don't want to hear the advice of the knowledgeable people on this forum then I would suggest refraining from posting. As the fact is that you are not properly taking care of your snake. I understand your age factors into your financial ability, however being a parent myself I do believe that you could easily speak with your parents and something could be done to fix the situation
 
Very true Mrs. Nightengale... My son and daughter both have their own snakes and lizards and take care of them but I do supply the proper set up, heating, substrate and food for them. If their animals need anything all they have to do is ask me and I will get it.
 
yea i wish apparently because i hav a cell phone i hav an allowence but dont get it the only way i get money is by helping my dad
 
@solrwind Then I suggest helping your father, and being responsible for your pet. I know there are probably a million other things you want that money for but honestly you took on a pet, and with it comes the responsibility of properly taking care of it.
 
Seriously, do what's right for your animal. What are you going to do if your snake needs to see a vet?
 
NO NEED TO WORRY

Hey this is solrwinds friend he was tlking about and he was all wrong, my tank is about 10 gallons big for my younger corn and my othe one for my older one ids 30 gallons. An i DO have heat in both of thm. I just couldnt afoard it for a while... But now am getting all theright things tht they need so noneof u need to worry.:D
