Hi! We just got our first ever snake last Friday, she is a beauty - nice bright orange 4.5 feet weighing 6.5 pounds. We have not decided on a name (and who we got her from didn't have a name for her) even though our 8 year old has given us some unique options. I am very excited to add her to our family (we have 3 kids, a dog, a beardie, a Mississippi map Turtle, and some feeder fish that the turtle decided wasn't good enough for food)
She is extremely well tempered, and loves to be held especially by my husband, but both the 4 and 8 year old got 10 minuted while we were doing the finishing touches on the new tank and before she ate (they were upset to find out she needed 2 days to digest her food, and couldn't be bothered) I always thought that the beardies were the most fascinating to watch eat, but seeing how she eats for the first time was amazing!!
Hopefully she enjoys her new tank and her new home.
