Hello. I am new to this forum and corn snakes! :)

I will have to wait on the vet visit for a little while longer (dad passed away recently and I am still trying to come up with the money to lay him to rest). I cant afford a couple hundred dollar vet bill. Please don't judge me... I know keeping snakes are a great amount of responsibility but Precious was found. I did not go out of my way to get her. It was unexpected to come upon her. I am doing everything I can to keep her healthy... I just cannot afford a vet bill atm... :(

I did, however, just send an email inquiring with a local exotic pets vet as to what they can do to help and for how much...

Belated hello and welcome! Such a pretty baby! Totally understand the vet thing, always seems to come at the wrong time! Hard to tell from pictures, especially of young snakes but she didn't look unhealthily skinny to me.

I don't know about where you are but I was surprised by how little my two snake related vet visits cost, was just a bit under $60 both times.

I thought she looked something Caramel. But looked like her eyes are red? So possibly a Butter? That is Caramel and Amel.

I would need to see better pictures but I don't think that she is a butter. I am thinking she looks hypo-ish. The snake in my avatar is a butter baby.

Is this any better?

How about this?

Well too bad she isnt butter... I was starting to like the idea of calling her my buttered corn xD Oh well. My Fiance already calls her noodle as a nick name...

wow! That actually looks like it is healing nicely!
You can tell by the checkering on her belly that she isn't a BR. I think that bloods are diffused, so they lack the checkering. I don't have butters, but if I were to take a guess, that'd be it.

It is healing pretty well. You can see a small patch of dry skin at the end of it. I think that is the last of it.

Yeah! She's kind of confusing to me, still looks caramel and except for the eyes, is what I'd say she was. Doesn't quite look butter to me. Does she have any black in her eyes? The checkers on her belly look more hypo to me and also don't really look light enough for amel. Can't really see her eyes in the picture, they could look amelish if she is hypo and the flash is just catching them the right way. Could be some combo of caramel and hypo I guess. Don't think she has enough red to be just a hypo but I could be wrong.

My vote goes to hypo. As for the wound, I'd recommend VERY small amounts of Neosporin (the one without any sort of pain reliever in it).
