Sometimes, they will lay just one egg, but usually it is two at a time. They'll have around 6 to 8 clutches of 2 eggs in a season. They retain sperm, so most breeders will just put the female in with the male for a week or two at the beginning of the season & the female will be good to go for the rest of the season.
