How to tell if snake is carrying eggs?

Hello,
I recently had a problem with my female corn regurging. She seems to be on the road to recovery now, but my vet told me to check to see if she was carrying (infertile) eggs just to be on the safe side. The problem being, I have no idea how to tell if she's carrying eggs or not. I had a sort of tentative feel of her underside just above her cloaca, which made her squirm a bit and look annoyed, but I don't know if that was right.
For future reference, what's the right way to check for eggs? She is only 1 year old and weighs about 100g, so I don't think she'd be carrying them anyway, but I should know these things!

At a year old and 100g, I doubt she's carrying eggs, even infertile ones. As for checking for eggs, you can sometimes feel them (I'm awful at this), and can also tell by looking at them as they get later into "term". The back 2/3 of their body will look swollen and will taper off immediately around the cloaca.

Thanks for that. I didn't think she would have any eggs in her, but thought it was worth knowing for future reference. Do you think 100g is a good weight for a yearling?

Yeah, that sounds about right. You have to keep in mind that snakes are just like people and will grow at different rates, even if fed an identical diet. So someone else might have a corn thats the same age as yours and weights 200g and someone else may have one that's only 50g, and all three could be perfectly normal healthy snakes who just grow at a different rate.

Feel the Eggs

I just let my snakes glide through my hands and I can feel the eggs like a sting of pearls.
