I'd say yes. Where's Rob Stevens for the expert opinion? Did it come from a PS line?

I don't know of it is from een PS line.
I bought is like a normal one from someone who knows not so much about a cornsnake but when I came home, and snakeparadise sad it I :crazy02:

It looks like it, but looks alone can't tell you if it is an inheritable form (like Don Soderberg's line). White in bloods isn't THAT new. What is new is the amount of white (and yours has a lot) and the fact that Don is "reliably" reproducing them. No other line does that, and you MAY have one of those lines. The inheritable lines are going for $2k in the US. The non-inheritable (in a reliable manner, anyway) lines are going for a couple of hundred dollars only.

Send the images to Don Soderberg. He's the originator of the line named "pied-sided," and has likely seen more than anyone else. :)

who's don soderberg?? en wat is $2k (sorry I'm from belgium)

It probably is . . .

In the past four years, besides Rob Stevens, I've sold to only a handful of U.S. customers and even fewer European customers. I'm hearing of snakes that could be p/s bloods showing up in many places in Europe (and the U.S.).

The matriarch of the line is a female I have been breeding since the year 2000, but didn't know she was a carrier of this mutation. I have been selling her babies as regular bloodreds to people here and in other countries, so there is a chance of them showing up anywhere, anytime. Not to mention, the guy from whom I got the female blood that started this line surely sold siblings to other folks. He had few corns and didn't keep track of his customers. Hence, it's possible that more and more will show up, even if they don't have a paper trail back to South Mountain Reptiles.

On a side-note, it's not news to most bloodred lovers that white has been on the sides of some regular bloods for many years. I saw traces of white on the sides of ones I had back in the mid 1990s and heard of many. Most of those did not pass that trait onto their progeny or grand progeny.

The one you just showed us looks like it is the same mutation I have here, but only breeding trials will prove that out. As much as we're seeing on your's, I'd be surprised if it is not a pied-sided bloodred. Congratulations. Better prepare yourself for the transformation you're going to see in the next two years. That white just jumps off of them when they're mature.

Keep us pic'd over the months. I'll try to get some pix of hypos, amels and normals on this forum.

Don and KJ have pretty much summed it up.We have seen a couple of lines out there that don't seem to breed true.
These have been around for a while.
The pair of P/S's that i got from Don produced all P/S babies.I have a few pics of that clutch and the female that laid the eggs.
Thanks Rob

Stunning . . .

Some of those babies in the "PILE" will be remarkable adults. People just can't imagine the difference between baby and adult, when it comes to these p/s gems.

Thanks for the awesome pix, Rob.
