I Can Finally Stop Being Jealous of Everyone Else's Pippies!

Next one out is an amel motley male. Surprisingly, with a few more eggs pipping, I've seen only 1 normal, and I'm not even sure about that one yet! Of course, there are more eggs yet to pip and all the normals are probably hiding in those.

You're so funny Susan... Let's hope Murphy stays away and you don't have to many normals.

very nice babies, its amazing to me you all can look at the babies and know what they are. I am trying to learn, but there are so many little differences it is taking me a while,
Marsha

Yeah, I'm a little puzzled at the odds myself. The female is a definite lavender so has to be just het amel. This is the first year the male has successfully bred and he's an F2 generation bred by me and I've never had these results in any previous clutches with his relatives...unless you count the hidden het dilutes. I know he has the amel gene on his mother's side and the hypo gene just about everywhere in his lineage. All the hypo motley babies look exactly like he did as a hatchling. The only possibility is retained sperm and I guess I'll just have to ask Walter if he remembers what he bred her to last year. She also double clutched so it will be interesting to see those results.

Hey susan when is the clutch from the hypo mots going to that you got from me???? I'm dieing to see the babies from that
