I suck with picking names

I really suck when it comes to naming my animals so I'm asking for ideas. I have a bloodred baby coming from Nanci, that I will register, and right now he is called Baby C. He is gorgeous and so he needs a fitting name. All of my other snakes have names of characters from the movie "Land Before Time" but with 8 snakes I'm running out of characters the ones left just do not seem to fit him. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had thought of a name a few days ago, but I forgot!! Someone in DYK suggested that I give up trying to think of a name, because Baby C made him sound cool, like a rapper name! Mr. T, (not that he's a rapper), that kind of thing. Believe me- I had researched red hot things for days! That started with C. Of course, you don't have to stick with that theme! Volcanoes, chilli peppers, red words...He and B and O are the only ones who never got real names!

Inferno, Flame or Crimson (that one starts with C :))
If you start picking names from a different movie for the next set of your collection can I suggest the movie Cloak and Dagger (1984)
That will get you names like:
• Davey Osborne
• Jack Flack
• Hal Osborne
• Rice
• Kim Gardener
• George
• Alvarez
• Morris
• Lt. Fleming
• Murdoch
• Lady Ace

I like the name Chili a lot, and started out with Ancho named Chili, but it wasn't quite right, so I changed it within a week.

Yeah my Bloodreds are named Tabasco and Sangria. I usually go with what their color reminds me of. Or any other name you have thought was cool from a book, game, movie etc. but is something you wouldn't ever name a child. That's my advice :) good luck

Cayenne? I've pondered that as a male bloodred name to go along with Paprika, but it seems more fitting for a girl to me.

I generally pull names from Characters from books and movies that I like. Perhaps you can chose another theme that you like and go with it.

Do you like Rocky Horror? You could name him Riff Raff, then if you end up getting a female for him she could be Magenta.

just an Idea but go to Google and use the language tools to see and hear words in different languages. Like fire is Fuco..just a way to get a cool name.

I'm glad it's not just me that feels a name has to "suit" a Corn! Jonah has ended up being referred to as Jonesy, Tabitha started her life as Jasmine, and Caleb was Lucas for a while. Nilly's 'proper' name is Vanilla - she was Nilla for a couple of years but that just didn't work. Jemima is usually referred to as Jem unless she's biting me - at which point she becomes "Je-MI-ma!!"

It's also funny how absolutely right some names are. Archie was bang on for him and Lilah simply couldn't have been anything else.

I remembered! Caterpillar, like the bulldozer company. Because he is always bulldozing his aspen around, clearing out the front of his viv, used to fill up his water bowl with it until I got him a really deep bowl.

Speaking of, they are calling for nice weather Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, if you want to ship!

Except he ate tonight, so he can't ship this week...The only shipping days are Monday and Tuesday, and possibly Wednesday if it's the only possible day for a long time. But he needs to not eat for at least five days before he ships.

Well they are calling for highs in the fifties Monday and Tuesday but the low on Tuesday is going to be 37. Higher then that on Monday .

I have a ton of names picked out for potential animals, but I always go with the first name that pops into my head when i see the intended. My snow corn was Balthazar, but I had to shorten it to Zar, now since I'm 90% sure he is a girl I'm calling her Zara. My next males will be Johan and Egon. I wanted my snakes to be named after wizards and other magical critters, now I think any interesting name is a good snake name.

I would call that snake Draco.

"Prepare the transit beam...."

Glad I'm not the only Rocky Horror fan here. Man, I miss the old days!

I have done both the other language thing- Sanskrit. Bloodred in Sanskrit is Rakta. I have a snow named Candra, which is snow in Sanskrit.

I also have started naming snakes after whatever TV show I'm watching.
