I wish corns came in BLUE, what about you?

I want a royal blue colored corn. Lavendar is the closest thing I have seen, and that is more of a pink/red shade than a blue IMHO.

I guess that only variations on a Normal corn as feasible at this time right? It would probably take genetic engineering to get a corn to produce blue if that's even possbile.

If you could pick a color to have added to the corn mix what would it be?

There is work being done trying to produce actually blue corns. They might not be royal blue, but they're getting there! Look for the Blue Dilutes. I have a feeling there'll be more popping up a little ways down the road.

WOW, good call. Here's a thread about some Blue Motleys I found using your advice.

Though not the "blue" I was looking for, I can see some faint signs of blue in some of those pictures. Maybe someday, we can get lots of blue on those scales.

My credit card is in fear of the true Blue Corn Snake.

Corns only seem to have so many pigments to work with... Red, Black, White, and Yellow, and the different combinations of these create different morphs... you'd be better off with I believe an ATB or ETB if you want blue, I believe.

LOL! I'll let you know when I have a few for sale. ;) It might be a few years, though.

While likely impossible... I would *love* to have a corn that was something of a reversal of the halloween okeetees... solid black body with orange/red saddles!

I would love to see some green corns... not like the green you see on some Snows, but actual...GREEN.

And I'd also love to see a Pied-Sided black corn. Like the Pied Persian Rats. Sooooo pretty

Edit: In case no one knew what I was talking about...

Blue would be nice. I would also like to see a bright spring green, and, of course a deep shiny black.
I also wish there were a much darker purple, like a royal purple, a corn that looks like purple velvet.

Rob, of Bayou Reptile has a pair of these that should breed this year. Amazing animals. As for an all black corn, I was hoping that the Tessera would have a super form and therefore a possible all black. Too bad there wasn't a super form but I'll keep my fingers crossed. And blue is a favorite color of mine so a royal corn would be a must have!

Apparently not only do you have to expand the definition of "corn snake" but also the definition of "blue". o_O

Colours I'd like to see on corns:

Bright silvery/white with dark eyes (AKA "blue eyed leucistic" or very close to it)
Pied like a royal python (full bands across the back of the snake)
Any shade of blue - turquoise - green would be nice. I'd love the equivalent of an Anerythristic Stripe with greenish shading.
