Inez: Aberrant Nelson's Milksnake

Nanci

Alien Lover
I always think, when I get Inez out to feed, I ought to take pictures of her more often, she is so brilliant! But I never do. Today I finally got her out!

Inez is a very cooperative photo subject. Very calm. Adult milksnakes are much more agreeable than hatchlings! Inez used to be a guaranteed musk-flinger, but no more.

Inez was my first mail-order snake, hatched in 2006 by Sean Niland, VMS Herp. She is pin-banded, and her belly is quite different from a normal Nelson's.

Those are some great shots!
Inez is a nice looking snake.
And that is quite a nice looking flower, too! lol

The second picture is pretty cool. I love those "mid-air" kind of shots.

(I deleted the original message..sorry for posting that! I didn't realize you were still posting pics! :p )

For some reason, Zee is the best snake for that type of shot. But Inez was the first one I tried it with, and now I love it!

This is the photo I made my avatar from:

Oh nice! She sure is shiny in that picture.
I am definitely going to have to try some more of those mid-air shots, now!

It's easier if you can put them in a tree, but holding them straight over your head works ok, too. I've gotten really picky about wanting NOTHING, like tree tops or any background, in the photo. Clouds are ok.

Thank you! I think she weighs about 400 grams or so, but she's very compact. Maybe two and a half feet long, if that.
