This is the kinda of crap I wanted to avoid. There should be a disable feature that lets you disable the whole friend thing. Now I have to deal with people getting offend because I not accepting them as friends . This is one of the drama bullcrap I wanted to avoid. I just got this message after refussing a friend invite Now I got to deal with my friends getting their feelings hurt.

I'm hurt. I WAS your friend and now I am not. :(


I just got this from Mhorsnakes This is what I mean . All because we want to be babies and look how many friends I have or I his friend . Oh he or she likes me better because I'm in the top friends list. I come here to talk about and sell cornsnakes. Not to play soap opera crap!!!!!!

Yea when I was 20 I think I would have one . But you can't compeat with a 12 year old boy . They just aint got their man features yet

I know that if I needed help you'd wade in... So it's no big deal really... Hang loose mate and better luck next year with your projects....
 
I'm not going to show favoritism towards anyone. The people that are close to my heart know who the are. I dont need to validate it with a list.

I can assure you that Jeff Mohr was only having fun with you, Vin. I wouldn't have expected anything less from him. ;)

I think it's kind of silly to feel too strongly about this "friends" thing, one way or the other. If I get a request, I click "accept" and "save", and I'm done with it. It's a silly and fun time-waster-- that's all. Maybe some would resent having to deal with it at all, but as a mod, this frivolous stuff is among the more pleasant of the frivolous things I have to deal with... :rolleyes:
 
No Dean. I feel Jeff got offend. I sent a message in his comment box just like myspace has and sent him a PM. I have got no reply. It would be noce to have a disable tab Not tooooo much to ask for. Now I have to call him up and explain .

The name of the site should be change to Mycornsnakespace.
 
Maybe it'll be a good way to send a PM to someone fast without trying to remember exactly how their name is spelled

I don't know if that's too much to ask for. I'm not a Vbulletin programmer, so I never make assumptions about what is easy or difficult to modify on this site.

What's funny to me is that I think I've used that very term (i.e., "mycornsnakespace") when referring to some of the member photo threads. You participated heavily in some of those threads. When I'm on a cornsnake site, and I see a thread soliciting member photos titled "Forget the snakes...", a red flag goes up. Forget the snakes on a snake site? Those threads are more "myspace-ish" than any silly friend/buddy list feature. How do pics of you in drag further the goal of professionalism on this site? I'm not saying that I care-- I REALLY don't. But c'mon. I think we're in hypocritical territory here...

Got your PM and visitor message. No problem here. Not offended one bit...just joking with you. Go back and look at the message...there is a little winking face at the bottom. ;)


PLUS, it takes a lot more than that to make me mad.
 
Fred(The Thundered) kind of robbed me of my ability to say "hey I am friendless and am doing alright!" he kind of sneaked up on me and I didn't realize what that invite was... (but thank you dude for asking about my LTR!)

I think some are putting a tad too much significance to a rather nice, but all in all, unimportant feature.
People who want to use it- great! People who don't- that's fine as well!
I don't think anyone is -that- insecure that he would actually get offended because you reply that you are not interested in using said feature.

The purpose of the forums has always been about Cornsnakes, and it looks like that's not about to change anytime soon so... take it easy.

Let people have their fun, it does not make the site worse- on the contrary, it simply makes it more accessible and fun to some people.

COOL JEFF. yOU WOULD THINK THAT IF YOU GOING TO COPPY MYSPACE WHICH A LOT OF FORUMS HAVE YOU WOULD ADD THE DISABLE FEATURES THE MYSPACE HAS. A CHOICE WOULD BE NICE . IF YOU WANT TO DISABLE FRIEND LIST YOU CAN. IF YOU WANT TO DISABLE THE COMMENT BOX YOU CAN, IF YOU DONT LIKE ANY OF THE FRATURES YOU CAN DISSABLE THEM. THERE IS NO FREEDOM TO MAKE CHOICES HERE, NOT FAIR.

I LIKE THE SIGHT BUT WILL BE ONLY BE COMMING HERE TO SELL SNAKES. I WILL NOT BE ANSWERING ANY NOTIFICATIONS WEATHER, pm, FRIEND REQUESTS OR COMMENT BOX MESSAGES.
