I've been naughty, but I just couldn't resist this boy!

I opened this thread hoping for some cougar action from you Sue. Of course the Opal Stripe is quite lovely and all but, well, I was expecting something a bit more naughty. :shrugs:
Since I rarely name my snakes, I'm of no use to you there. He is gorgeous and I hope you do a progression thread of his growth and color maturity. Opals change so much as they age.
Congrats you naughty girl!:dancer:
Terri

Sue, he is beautiful. I want one, I want one! LOL.

There is a character in Shakespeare's "Henry V" named Pistol. I have always wanted to use that name, but never had the occasion.
How does Petal and Pistol sound?

Well now, that's a whole other topic and one that I think I won't go into here, as I may just get myself into a big 'ole heap of trouble!!! ;)

Thanks for the congrats, I will post as he grows, but I'm going with the assumption that he'll lose most of his peachy/pink colouring, as most Opals I've seen do and if he doesn't then that will be a huge bonus :)

Ha ha, I knew we'd eventually get you to see the attraction of the Lavender morphs ;)

Hmm, Pistol........Petal and Pistol......not sure......he's such a placid, but curious little thing and very sweet natured at the moment, I'm not sure if that fits. I'll think on it a little more :)

Hes a pretty little guy, congrats!!! :) I suck at naming snakes though, hence why most of mine are nameless...!

Thank you Steph! :)

Congratulations, what a handsome little chap!

Thank you! He was just too adorable to resist :)

What about Sweet Pea? That doesn't have to be a girl's name.

You're right, it doesn't have to be a girls name, I think I quite like Sweet Pea :D

Petal is lovely :) Remember Petal Pootle Potato pie?

Yes I do remember! :)

well if it has to end in "o" why not "Romeo"!?

Thank you! I hadn't thought of Romeo :)

I've had a bit of a think overnight and it looks like I'll keep calling the girlie Petal. Here's a couple of names I thought of for the little guy, along with a couple of your suggestions, so I'll try them all out for a few days and see which feels right

Valentino, it's valentines day soon!
Horatio, CSI Miami's lead character, I love CSI! Actually with this name I could change the girls name to Calleigh?
Romeo, as suggested by girthta, which I hadn't even thought of.
Sweet Pea, as suggested by Nanci, I really quite like this one and I suppose it doesn't really have to end in "O".

Thank you all for the compliments and name suggestions!

You'll let us know the final decision, right?

My daughter and I watch CSI all the time... but Horatio always ALWAYS looks constipated. We goof on him all the time, "Yes, see if there's any trace evidence... I'll be in the bathroom..." hahaha

Check it out next time you watch it and tell me if he doesn't always look like he's trying to pinch a loaf!

I like Sweet Pea and Valentino. Wasn't Sweet Pea a little boy baby in the old Popeye cartoons?

I believe it was Eric! I think it was originally spelt Swee'Pea, but I don't mind either spelling :)

Yes Girthta, I will let everyone know my decision :)
