Jayden (GTP) - more changes

Here is Jayden, my sweetheart of a male '07 Jayapura GTP, approx. one month after the last photos I posted of him (when he turned green practically over night).
A month ago, his dorsal "triangles" were white but, since then, they have been turning blue. More blue should continue to come in.
Am not in a big hurry, but I really do look forward to seeing what he looks like when fully mature.:)

He DOES look very nice! I really like the "alternating" blue triangles on his back. Great pattern.

How long is he and what would be "considered" to be "full grown"?

Great pics too! Kudos!

Thanks, krtemt, Nanci, & Fred.:)

To say that I am very happy, about how he is turning out, would be an understatement.:)

I have not measured him but, when stretched out, he looks to be at least a couple of feet long.

GTPs grow to be, on average, between 4 to 6 ft.
Jayapuras, such as my boy here, are one of the smaller GTPs and fall somewhere at the lower end, of the spectrum, in length.

Full grown depends on whether one means sexual maturity or physical maturity. They generally reach sexual maturity somewhere around 2 1/2 to 3 yrs. of age (+/-) although physical maturity isn't really attained until somewhere between 3-4 yrs (or more), for males, and somewhere between 4-5 yrs. (or more) for females... males mature faster than females.

As for color ... with the exception of Biaks (who can take much longer than other types/localities) ... GTPs usually start to, or do, turn green at about a year old (& some can start as young as six months +/-) and should have their final adult color/s prior to, actually, reaching true adulthood (maturity). Also, there is a difference, in the color change process, between maroon neonates and yellow neonates.

Lookin' HOT! Thats a very pretty GTP - I'm so jealous! I'm going to search for your other posts on him so I can see the "before pictures"

Thanks! He really did go through and amazing change - how beautiful! I really can't wait until I can get a GTP, in like 5 years!
Do you have others? Are you going to breed him?

Yep, he did go through quite the change.:)
Seems like yesterday that he was just a little, wee, maroon worm.

When you get one, I do believe that you will just love him/her.:) Especially if one of the more docile types.

I don't have any others but do plan to get another or two. In fact, right now, I have a person on the "look out", for me, for a female Jayapura ... told him that it must be a female and, hopefully, a ~very~ nice exemplar.:)
Eventually, I will breed Jayden with whichever female/s I get (when he/they are old, & big, enough).

Yay! Maybe by that time I will be able to get one and I can steal a baby off of you.... :)

he's a beauty. Looks like he'll have more blue than my jaya does. Mine ended up blending in with his green so that he looks almost patternless unless he's in direct sunlight.
