lol thanks. the guy wanted $130 for her but he said no one wanted her because she was "meaner than hell!" so he's take $50.00 lol. but she hasnt struck at me once so...

Well goodluck with your mean @ss snake... :) Maybe she just didn't like where she was living before and she'll be happier now...

Her head looks creamsicle to me...

Maybe a creamsicle sunglow? lol Not sure if anyone has purposely breed the whites out of hybrids....

She looks like a Creamsicle to me. I guess you could call her a Creamsicle Sunglow, but if she was sold to you as a Creamsicle then I wouldn't call her a Sunglow because Sunglows are pure corns were as Creamsicles are emoryi/corn crosses. She is really goregous though.

you've got a nice Creamsicle there, IMHO... the creamy texture screams Creamsicle I think. And maybe that's the real reason for said pricing?
It doesn't matter, I -love- their colors.

If she was sold to you as a creamsicle, then she is a creamsicle. [begin monotone/repetitive voice]Creamsicle indicates a genetic mix between guttatus cornsnake and emoryi cornsnake. It is NOT a look or a color (other than being Amel) and I have yet to find anyone that can definitively identify a creamsicle (or non creamsicle) by looks.[/end monotone/repetitive voice] If you happen to breed her, you must sell the offspring as creamsicles as they will still be genetically hybrid.

That being said, she is a gorgeous looking snake and I agree worth the $50 if you're into hybrids.

As I understood it, and from personal experience- the creamy texture(like the one this snakes have between the orange saddles) is very typical to Creamsicles, and I have never seen a clean Corn that had such colors.

We're going to have to agree to disagree then because all you really need to do is a search for Amel pictures on this site or any other, and you'll get your fill. :shrugs:

I've seen everything from "creaminess" to "blotchy" backgrounds called a creamsicle. Don't forget head shape/pattern and blotch count/shape thrown into the picture as well. Nevermind that all of them can be, and are, found on regular old Amels as well.

She is a great looking snake! looks a lot like the father of my Creamsicle clutch this past year!

I have Creamsicle hatchlings whose parents had no white, and they have no white as well. I still call 'em Creamsicles.

I am not trying to argue. I'm just saying that I saw a creamsicle... I had one. And I never saw that exact shade on a pure cornsnake. Pictures can be deceiving as well.
From my admittedly limited experience, I saw these colors ever only on a creamsicle.

That doesn't mean I disagree with your logic or definition- just blabbing as usual I is :)

I know. It's just my own personal pet peeve . . . for whatever reason. It irks me how quickly and easily (and erroneously) creamsicle gets thrown around. Especially when it's referred to as a "look". ;) Yes, I know some creamsicles have a certain look, but so do just as many Amels. I've seen it both ways . . . creamsicles that "look" like Amels, and Amels that "look" like creamsicles. :shrugs: Creamsicle is technically not a look, it's a hybrid.

It's a lovely snake, regardless. It's just... it's disturbing how so many corns became controversial in their parentage... it will end up really hurting the hobby if records aren't better kept.

Good luck with her :)

thanks. she had her first feeding the day before yesterday and she ate the fuzzy alive... lol. i felt kinda bad, but as long as it didnt hurt her.. it was just weird she didnt constrict at all she just started eating it. oh well, i'm switching to frozen anyway.

so if i bred her to my snow what would the babys look like??? would they. look like her or like normal corns? and also, how much do creamsicles usually go for?

you should have creamsicles het anery A if I understood it right.
However they may look more like pure corns- if you indeed are going to sell them, please make sure to say that they may be hybrids
