Kokoro - VBB Progression Thread

Sorry I missed this before Fred  Kokoro really is a beauty! ;)

I love the blue, why don't they make corns in that colour??? :D

Fred...WOW!!

She is a real looker! How is her temperment? You probably already said, but I didnt read the whole thread. How old is she? How long have you had her?

Gene was nice enough to send me his TB and I love him. Jay posted "Eugene" recently on here. He is a greenish/brownish boy. I do love him. The old world rats real cool to work with.

I can't believe I missed this thread very cool looking snake Fred she's a hottie:)
Thanks, Danielle!! I think so too! :)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... I wonder if someone could do a VBBxCorn hybrid... Female obviously being the VBB...
LOL. I don't know... whenever I put anything except for my hand into her viv, she goes into HUNTING MODE... she'd probably see 500 gram Hiro (my biggest corn) as a FOOD ITEM! That wouldn't work! :)

Thanks, PJ!!! She's getting MUCH better. The last time I took her out, I had her out for about an hour... walking around in the nice 78-80 degree weather. She wasn't nervous at all and she behaved the WHOLE time! I'm so glad to have her!

She used to be "nervous"... and I would never trust her close to my face. But this last time... completely calm.

You know... they were playing the HORRIBLE movie "Snakes on a Plane" today. The "snake guy" had a corn in his hand and the hostess of the show had a VBB in her hand. THAT VBB could very well have been Kokoro... she is THAT big and well behaved (at least this last time).

If you breed Kokoro...can I call dibs on a baby? :)

KATIE!!!! I didn't even see your post on this the first time around. I'm so sorry and hope you don't think that I "snobbed" your post... It is only now, after almost 2 months, that I saw this when I included the link to someone.

IF, I ever get around to breeding Kokoro, you are ABSOLUTELY allowed to have dibs on one or two!!! I'm sure that you and Sheldon would be great "parents" to any possible kids Kokoro has.

So sorry I missed this!!!

You know...I'm sure Kylar would like a lady friend in a year or two (his lady won't be ready by then, but I'm sure he will).... ;)

That is one gorgeous snake. I am not sure I am up for snakes that get 9 feet long & may be attudinal, but OMG is she lovely. The color is wonderful, and so are the patterns and the iridescence. Thank you for sharing the pictures.

Aww, thanks! I didn't mean to restart the thread without new pics... so, if I get a chance, I'll take some tomorrow - provided that noon time is over 75 degrees! :D

That's okay, Fred! We're thinking about breeding Shakalu in the next few years and Sheldon has already told me that you're first on our list to get a baby! Yay for baby snakes! I'd love to see some updates from Kokoro :)

Somebody has a 1000 gm male corn -- saw a pic earlier today here. Would she see him as food?

But I really doubt VBBs & corns are genetically compatible, as although they may have VERY distant common evolutionary roots, they have been separated since the Old World & the New World were last in geological contact. Somebody who is better on paleontology can probably tell us when.

On the other hand, if it did work, it would be pretty amazing!
