Twang'em into trees!
My escaped corn snake has returned!
Habibi, an aztec/normal corn snake who is now around a year old & barely 100 g, didn't necessarily return to me, but when I bent over to pick up the feeding containers (tonight was dinner night), my eye just happened to catch something. I have a box of shoes that I keep meaning to donate along with a bunch of school bags full of books & stuff right next to one of the reptile racks and lo & behold, guess who was nestled as comfortable as a bug in a rug in one of the shoes??? Can you find him?
Imagine that...little sucker even seemed grateful to be found; he didn't try to scurry away, and my thought is that he was too dehydrated to even try. (He only lost about 10 g when I weighed him -- and his last weight was taken at the beginning of Oct.)
So, here he is getting a little post-escape love from me:
I'm relieved that he's "returned," mostly for his safety, as I know that one of my cats would've played with him to death, I'm sure. In fact, I'd been wondering lately what was going on because one cat seemed to be awfully interested in a certain section of the room, but I'd continually see nothing...either way, Habibi (Arabic for "my darling" -- all of my pets have names in different languages) is now back, safe & sound.
Thanks for looking! :wavey:
