Today I walked over from the reptile building to the house and startled a coachwhip snake about 5 foot long who was prowling around on the porch. Probably looking for the resident skinks and anoles that live there.

Then the other day I found a ring-necked snake right in front of the door to the reptile building. First I have seen around here.

Then several weeks back, Connie found a rough green snake who had gotten tangled in a banana spider web that I had to rescue. I took some video of this one, but it's in that pile of video files somewhere... :shrugs:

Also had a few deer prowling around in the front lawn a short while back. They are probably the culprits that got my peach crop (all dozen of them) this year... :rolleyes:

Actually...the red racer IS a coachwhip. Masticophis flagellum piceus is technically the Red Coachwhip, not a red racer. A racer would be in the Coluber constrictor family, and there is technically no such thing as a red racer.

Just for clarification sake...
