I went out to "The Ears" the other night with a friend of mine...

These giant satellite dishes are used by various universities and researchers to study things like stars, planets, galaxies, and what-not.

These pictures aren't that great, but I wanted to share. There is a field of about 5 different, gigantic dishes just down the road from my house. I want to get out there again soon, and maybe even get some really nice shots...

Anyhow...thanks for looking!
 
Very interesting! I like the effect of the red light in the first one, and it sort of looks like a giant hand is holding the second dish.
 
Both of the pictures are great! Its so cool how these things work. I dont know how, but it must be interesting.
