Lyra '10 Ghost Bloodred

John, is your pied from Hector? I was thinking of doing the same thing. I have a low-expression pied male ph hypo from him and thought it would be interesting to breed them. But thats still a couple years away for me!

My Pied is from Rob (Bayou) which is where Hector's came from so they are all compatible. There are some different lines out there. Those low expression pied can produce some really high expression pied.

Sorry, Jessica! For stealing your thread.

BTW Jessica, John has been nice enough to sell me that above pictured female!! :D

Nice! There were only 4 in the clutch, so only a limited number of us have them! Except now John will really be trying to get this girl back from me... :sidestep:

Any time I get to see some of your snakes, it's a good thing! Man oh man, now I'm thinking I will need a nice Pied boy for this girl! Thanks for adding to my wish list.

Lyra is fresh shed!! She sure took her time, but the wait was worth it.

Here are the first shots I took of her in her tub.

Some outdoor shots, you can see the difference the sun makes.

Later in the day I took some more pictures of her on a nicer background. They are in different light though.

Thanks for looking!

That 1st and 2nd pic show what could be pied areas, without the speckles in the white. But she is gorgeous and we should be seeing pics of her sis if she travels well tonight and ends up alive in Il. tomorrow.
Congrats
John

The flash really shows those areas well. Here's an "out take" that didn't make it into the original post because Lyra's head is out of focus. One of the possible pied areas is in focus instead!

Here are a few other out takes that show the white areas as well. They are a bit softer because they are without flash.

Angela, It's crazy how different Lyra and Pandora look! They looked pretty much identical (excluding pattern) out of the egg! I can definitely make out some of the same possible pied areas on Pandora!

Also, I think it's cute how pink Pandora is in those first few photos. The right kind of lighting almost makes these guys look translucent!

Two last pink out takes..

Its amazing how much they change, isnt it? It sure looks like there are still similarities, like in the white areas... I didnt even notice that! You can bet I will be updating her thread every time she sheds. She just shed on the 12th. I cant wait to see how these two progress!

Ive never had such a translucent snake before. In some of the pictures I took of Pandora, you can see her little veins, and see the light on the other side of her body... its crazy! I wonder how much they are going to take after their gorgeous father.

Yea, it's crazy to be able to see internal organs of a snake in certain light. I wonder if that pink patch on Lyra in the above photo I posted is an organ, or just a random sun patch.

Their dad went through SO MANY changes, I can't believe how colorful he was as a juvenile.

she is looking stunning Jessica. I need to take new pics of Kiran :)

w00t! Maybe we should make a huge progression thread for all three snakes. lol, can you tell I'm a little obsessive about them?!

I wonder who the 4th one went to, we have "tabs" on three, but the other one must have gone to someone who doesn't use the forum, or doesn't post often.

I love being able to see Kiran's internal organs. I can actually see her little heart beat and the blood moving through her veins.

We should do a progression thread for all three, That would be awesome. I wonder who the forth one went to as well.

Lyra is fresh shed, and I was completely wowed when I opened her tub. She looks almost like a different snake!

Here she is in her new skin.

Look at those white sides!!! I can really see the difference in this photo.. and it makes me very excited.

I LOVE how this girl is progressing!!! John, you're amazing for creating such a beautiful creature. I LOVE my Colorado Corns.

I'll probably get some outdoor shots later. I feel like I've been slacking in that department lately!

She is gorgeous, can't wait to see her after more sheds. I got 4 good eggs from her mom last year and they where all girls. Well I got 4 good eggs this year and hope to get more sweet ones like her and her sisters.
