Maine's Coast On A Windy Day.

Jay@PJCReptiles

"Quality Before Quantity"
Hi Everyone,
PJ and I were at her favorite place in the world the other day, the ocean (lucky for her as we live on the coast  ). We were there to take some pictures for some of the upcoming threads we will have on our personal forum about different things here in Maine and New England. These were just some extras that really had nothing to do with what I want those threads to be but they were good enough that I thought I should share. It was a really windy day and the surf was high so it was a good opportunity for some pictures. Maine has always been known for it's beauty from it's rocky coast, to the lakes areas and to it's mountains. As you will see in the pictures it truly was windy and the sea choppy as it washed a few Lobster traps ashore. Thanks for looking and we hope you like.
Jay & PJ

A few more. The last one of PJ was taken after I had to hike all the way back to the van to get more batteries for the camera. She was sitting there trying to see if she could find Tula's house. :grin01: :sidestep:

We live in South Portland which is a part of Greater Portland. We are in the southern part of the state. These pictures were taken at Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth which is the next town over. Acadia is about 4 hours up the coast from us. PJ and I have gone to Acadia National Park every year we have been together and it is definately better on the Harley then in a car ;). Cadillac Mountain in the middle of Acadia is beautiful. It isn't the most eastern point in the United States but because of it's elevation it is the first place to see the sunrise.

Thanks for sharing! Reminds me of when I went to Miane MANY years ago to visit my aunt and uncle. They lived in Thomaston at the time. And I will never forget the beauty of the coast. I'd love to go back with my kids and show them how beautiful it is.

Brrr, looks cold there! It reminds me of Lake Superior.

Where I am, I can drive to either coast easily in 90 minutes. I wouldn't want to be right on the coast here, because of hurricanes. Being in the middle slows them down some!

Great pics.

great pictures! I too have been in that part of Maine on the coast. I got to collect a couple shells but pictures seem to be long gone. Pretty sure I can still find the shells... Anyhow, cool pictures!
