MARS pickup!

whippet

Tara
We picked up Sticker the new Black Rat snake from the show today. His nose has an odd bump, but all of the hatchlings we saw did...so anyone have a word on that one?
Anyway...just starting to go nice and dark. He will be for education purposes and will never be bred. He is het albino, but since we will never breed....it matters not.
Temper seems pretty good so far. Not bad for 10 bucks.

awesome pickup. hopefully hes a good educator snake.

ive still been searching for a wild one here for lifer material. idc if i can see them in collections and at shows, i wanna see a wild one.

Today we went with $40 intending to get Tara her white kneed tarantula. They had at least 8 yesterday-- gorgeous-- and they SOLD OUT! D'oh!

We have been drooling over gargoyles a while now and found a nice looking one... mostly grey in color, light, subtle pattern, but nice. The price was $50. Tara offered $40 and the guy said "Sure!"

The base of his tail looks a little bulgy, so I am tentative on his gender being male... but he is quite young, too young to be certain with my amateur skills.

Here he is... tentatively named Granite. We will try for better pics later this week. Offered two smallish crickets today. We'll see what he does with them. :)

Yay for Garg's! Is this your first gargoyle? How much does it weigh?

Nice pick-ups!

When I got my garg, she was about a year old. I thought she looked bulgy down there, and then they showed me a male! Holy cow!! If yours is a male, it will become very obvious. Pretty color!

Zoo-- no, didn't get a weight yet. Didn't want to fuss over him too much. We'll let him settle in a week and then get a weight.

Nanci-- like I said, I think it's too early to tell, though he does look bulgier than my female crestie looked when I got her... she was around 8 months old. Who knows? If "he" turns out to be a "she" so much the better! ;)

I was more excited to see the BRS..for 10 buckah-roos..heck yes. I'd jump on that.
Very nice Gecko as well..
2 great pick ups and sorry to hear of your miss on the trantula.

Ahhhhhh!!!! Yet another gargoyle on the forum! Way nice!

Did you read the article on them in one of the more recent Reptiles Mags? I thought it was GREAT! I certainly can understand why you bought him.

Congrats on the BEAUTIFUL acquisitions (as I love the Black Rat too). :)

Ohh... sorry about Tara not getting the White-Kneed T. THEY are gorgeous T's too! I think they might have some at a store close by. I'll check it out and let you know!
