mating?

"It's Hammer Time!!"
If housed a male and female corn in the same enclosure, would they mate, or do you have to do that climate and season thing? If you can put them together without them mating, what size enclosure would be sufficient? also can you put 2 snakes of the same sex together?

Slowly replace the lid on Pandora's box and step away from the keyboard!

Try searching for "cannibalism" and "housing two snakes together".

They are trying to say it's not a great idea to house any 2 snakes together. I will make this a short post -lectures are not my thing. Like they said, do a search to see reasons why...

They can mate even without brumation. I would avoid housing a male and female together. As for same sex, I have two females that live together just fine. But do a search and read up on it fully. For most it is a bad idea and not an option; I've done it for 9 years now without one problem, but precautions were taken.

I agree with Blue. I housed 2 snakes together for 4 years and didn't have a problem...other than finding out that one was sold to me as the wrong sex and ended up with my first clutch of eggs.

But like everyone is telling you, there is a very big chance of disaster, so be sure to search and read every post on this forum about the topic before you make a decision.
