I rescued 2 corns today from a guy who was going to put them to sleep with dry ice. He said the local pet shop wouldn't buy them and he refused to just give them over for them to sell. Glad he called me they are Beautifull snakes I'm a bit confused on the morph tho having little exp with corn snake Morphs but learning. If any of you folks can give me some help I'd be in your debt. Here are the Pics I took of them.

I'll take a guess while you wait for others to come along.

The second one is a normal.
I am not so sure about the first one. The color is not typical of the common morphs. I almost want to say hybrid something but I don't have any first hand knowledge of hybrids.
I'll be interested to hear what others say.

I see a hypo and a normal. I have seen a *few* hypos het caramel that were as yellow as that first baby.

I figured the second one to be a normal Just wanted to make sure. I ended up feeding him after talking to the past owner he said he had not fed that one for close to a month. I just dont understand why people dont take care of there pets properly. makes me want to thump him in his head till his eyes fall out. The first one I have seen the colors on the net someplace while I was doing research but cant seem to find that pic again it has a very nice yellow color almost butter like

If you are going to breed snakes (or any animal for that matter), you should be prepared to care for the animals for as long as it takes to find them new homes. If you aren't willing to do that, don't breed them.

I would have guessed normal for the first one, but hypo makes a little more sense. I love that neck stripe!
And your second is definately a normal, a really really nice red one that is going to be a knockout when it grows up!

Kudos to you for saving them! I hope they bring you many years of happiness.

Well, let me clarify. I *think* I see a hypo because the saddle edges look brown but the yellow could be playing tricks on my eyes.

Both appear to be very nice normals. The first one appears to possibly have some caramel influence and reminds us of the "buckskin okeeteeish" look.

Agree with Beth - Kudos to you :)

a little help with the colors on the first one I know not everyons monitor will show an exact color and even cameras struggle to capture true color at times the saddles are brown the edges are a dark brown the background color is just as pictured a buttery yellow. Thanx for all the good words folks. I wouldn't think twice about taking in an animal someone was going to put to sleep. Especially when I can care for it as is should be. Both are doing really well in there new homes. I'm sure there happy living apart but just incase I put there Viv's rite next to each other. At present I have no plans to mate any of my snakes I'm content to just keep them as pets. I also dont want to get into more then I can handle. I may at some point loan them out for mating for a pick of the litter.

Kudos, to you, for taking these two Corns in!
To add my 2 cents on morphs:
That first one looks to be a Hypo that may have some Caramel influence (i.e. het Caramel). No guarantee, of being het Caramel, of course... it's just the look.;)
The second one is a Normal.

I'm voting normal on both, but agree the first looks possibly hypo in the photo. The eye and saddle color will tell you for certain. And I agree that it has the look of some with a het marker for caramel, uncertain though that is. They are both very pretty and going to get prettier!

Maybe it had "yellow disease/Yellow Factor".... ugh I can't believe I just said that....
Very pretty snakes!

ok for some reason i get a 501 505 error on IE so I have to use different browser to get into this site now anyhow here are the pics of the eyes

That looks black to me. Now I want to go grab a hypo!

it is black for sure, Would that make it hypo? sorry for all the questions still trying to learn the Morph types. There are so many that are close its hard to tell sometimes.
Thanx everyone for all your Input

Black would indicate normal. The hypo gene shows best on the pupil and the black edge of saddles, as well as belly checkers. It's "reduced" so anything other than jet black indicates hypomelanism. But individual snakes vary tons -and cameras and eyes both can be wrong. I'm not sure that IS jet black. The pupil nor especially saddles. I am talking myself into hypo, it just has much more black than any I have.
