Morph Identification Help -- Show Pick up!

Thanks for the updated shots. As Dave first stated.. pretty normal. ;)

There's way too much red for that snake to be homo Caramel. As for Sunkissed.. sure, hets maybe..

Hey, I'm entitled to my own guesses. It may be a normal. I'm just saying what I think it looks like.

When your guess is not even based in reality I will dispute it.

My guess Is that only a handful of breeders, Walter Smith, Don Soderburg, Rob Stevens, Charles Pritzel, and some others have breeding programs advanced enough to own a Sunkissed Amber.

The snake would need to be homo for Sunkissed, Hypo, and Caramel. Honeys, Sunkissed Caramels are rare enough as it is.

This snake was sold as a normal.

It's a cool looking normal. Maybe it has some hidden hets. If you were to type, "Hey I'm going to guess your snake has some cool hets, maybe Sunkissed, Hypo, and Caramel!" I'd have no issue. To guess something is homo for a combination of genes that obviously it is not should be corrected so that other new users don't see a picture of a nice normal and think they know what a Sunkissed Amber looks like.

Also, it just happens to be a pet peeve of mine. We all have them.

That's my reasoning at least. Hate it or love it, I don't mind.

I have to agree with Jessicat....for those new to snakes its hard to discern where to get the best advice from -we all know how much reptile care varies depending on who you talk to- so a few people putting in their two cents can outweigh a single person who has been in the business for years.

Not saying that everyone's individual opinion isn't important, but some should weigh more than others. :)

Just reviving this zombie thread...I may be getting this little guy from Darcy, so I'm looking for any other opinions on his possible genetics. If things work out, I will probably test him for Caramel this season. Should be interesting...

Sweet, Josh! Be sure to keep us updated!
The initial pics posted look like this girl of mine, sold as a Hypo, ph Stripe,Lav...but she does not look like my Hypo male w/ unk hets...
All I know, is she is one of my faves & I can't wait to breed her!
