My first attempt at breeding is successful. We have babies!!!

The best video I know is if you search YouTube for Kathy Love Popping Cornsnakes.

I learned from Carol, and then got to practice on a HUGE clutch of Okeetees at Daytona. It's great if you have a known male and female to test yourself on.

Î don't know why, but I read that as, "Kathy Love Pooping Cornsnakes." My immediate thought was, "Well... to each their own..."

Three out of the four ate last night... and I am frustrated because the one that didn't eat actually started to eat. When I peaked under the corner of the towel she had the pinky half way in her mouth and so I went to shower and came back and she had spit it back out. I reheated it in hot water and stuck a hole in it and left her for another hour and nothing. So I left it in her cage overnight and she didn't touch it.

All of the others ate theirs warmed up like little champs though. I think this one will eat if I wait 3 days and try again.

Here is all four of them.

I know I was supposed to wait but when I separated them I also popped them and it appears I have 3 females and 1 male. (I did that a few days before feeding them) My son was bummed his white snake appears to be female because he wanted to name it Christof.

Hey Nancy... if your still following... that one baby still hasn't eaten. The other 3 all ate for the second time last night and that one has been offered food 3 more times since the initial attempt. I tried warming it up, braining, small deli cup for four hours, and in a cup overnight.

I feel so bad because he has started to eat the first time and then when I peeked at it, it spit it back out.

I read your article but which suggestion should I try next?

I would try boiled, first. First at night, in his deli. Covered. If he hasn't eaten in an hour, reheat it (with hot water) and put him in his bin with it overnight.

My second and third attempts would be boiled scented with Ivory, and boiled scented with Dawn blue. Same procedure.

When you try boiled, if he doesn't eat, on your way to putting him back, hold him about an inch down his neck and jab him in the neck, not the face, with the pink and see if he strikes at it. If so, he should be pretty easy to tease feed, too.

Where are you in FL?

Central Florida near Orlando.

The last time i tried I poured boiled water over it and put him in a small deli sized container actually forgot him in it till around midnight.

I was considering trying live

That has never worked for me, but it does work for some people. Anole scenting has also never worked for me, but that works for a lot of people, too.

I didn't realize how close you are... I have a lot of family in Marion County, actually I was born at Shands hospital. If I bought a snake from you I could totally just make a day trip and come pick it up! Ha!
