Yay Nanci!!! I get to have his brother as well, in a breeding loan with Don. Psssh, I get every other baby, when you get ALL of his babies! LUCKY!
But he really is gorgeous.
The striping on these guys is wider than the usual Tessera stripage, from a special project of Dons- you and I are the only two that have something from this lineage (I am pretty sure).
Grats Nanci- hope you are gonna start a progression thread on him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Extreme Wide Stripe! He's so cute...I love his brother, too. You should name him Moose.
You got to come up witha new name. You can't keep insulting that Tessera!!
lol
Exactly

Gartersnake would be a name of utmost respect. Gartersnakes are my first love, of all herps. I teethed on gartersnakes. My first WC anything was a gartersnake. Gartersnakes are primacy, for me. Denying the importance of gartersnakes in my life would be like denying the importance of mother's milk. I perfected my snake-catching skills on gartersnakes. Gartersnakes taught me how and where and when to flip. I spent hundreds if not thousands of hours, days, summers hunting gartersnakes. The first snake my first_born_ caught was a gartersnake. To me, "snake" is synonymous with "gartersnake."
Whatever you name him Nanci, I will follow suit and name the brother with something related to what you've named yours.
And you are correct Camby it is the black side striping or 'border'. but it is striping non-the-less and was the intent.
How many and what kind of garters do you own? Any pics of them (don't post them in this forum though)
